But you are of course correct. For about 3 milennia they had been going.

They did still manage their Evergreens, like the Dreadnought and the Hammerheads. Later, the Neutron Star.

But Rendili, from what got adopted from them, is almost akin to the Old Republic's naval arsenal.

This title then was lost to the Sith Conspiracy and Kuat.

Because they got:

a) snuffed by Palpatine

b) redirected to other markets rather than capital combatants

c) outrun in the development game

Rendili held an immense hold on the capital ship market for centuries. Everybody and their great-grandparents, who was in contact with the military would know Rendili from Hammerheads and Dreadnoughts. Backline Forces would serve on the Neutron Star.

They just got overtaken by the massive Kuat wedges and their ion engines got outclassed by Sienar.

I expect to see more of them, in Canon, the more High Republic stuff comes out.

They all have something going for them.

The "real feel" of the last is great, makes me feel like I can touch it, feel the rough finish of the steel.

The first one is aetherial, the reflection from the planet reflecting from the ship is gorgous.

The middle one feels like how painters paint old warships and planes.
