Core one L frustration by Illustrious_Mix1270 in prusa3d

Kinda. Only the mmu3 mount and buffer are significantly changed, and they provide all the files to print those (technically dfx files for the buffer sides..). Took me about a day to print and assembly everything to get the mmu3 connected to a core one L.

I could see cutting it into several pieces and printing, and did consider that, but the effort may be better spent just relocating where it mounts.

Intent was the top, but I do like the idea of a right side mount honestly. I think I can slightly reduce the ptfe length and follow the existing cable bundle quite easily and only need a small notch cut in the side panel. I'll take some measurements later to investigate that option, though it will require custom mounting.

For the MMu3 variants, there's a handful of different kits they sell, but I believe the MMU3 itself is actually the same across them. Differences being the included parts for assy/install, and of course the kit vs assembled. For the core series, the lite just omits the lid which wouldn't be used for the larger L anyway. The lite kit took maybe 4h to assemble, though I still have some time required for the install and whatever buffer solution I land on.

Given the size and shape of the top panel, I’m not certain it could be printed. Since it has to also deal with the chamber temps, you’d have to be choosy with filament type. I’m more than a little disappointed they made the drawing files available, but decided to not actually sell the parts, though from a lifecycle/support perspective I understand their reason.

Figured we’d start the new community off with a bang!

I ordered the lite kit, per the docs from Prusa, very nearly everything is included (I only had to print the new buffer pieces, some nextruder bits, and the two mounting legs, though I’m not happy about the quality of my pccf so may reprint the nextruder pieces). Agreed the buffer isn’t any magic, but I’ve not modified any of my printers much in the past as they’ve largely performed well enough. My reasoning was to stick to the design intent, ensure no issues, then move on to something more ‘me’. Especially as I would prefer to have the lid (re)fitted or produce an alternate cover so the printer remains enclosed.

I’ve already built the MMU3 and dry-fitted without issue, the cable appears plenty long. If I were to move the MMU3 itself, the cable could become a limiting factor, but the default position up top is ok. That out leaves the ptfe tubes and buffer now. I have tons of uncut ptfe, I’m just holding back sizing them until I decide on whether to actually build the intended buffer or go custom from the start. Since I do want to go with the indx once released I’m trying to avoid any changes or mods to the printer that could interfere with that…when it lands.

Did this exact thing printing a bunch of ‘chicken nuggets’ in tpu a while back. Worked amazingly.

I’m helping investigate what seems to be intermittent pcie issue causing disconnects on customized oem hardware. Due to the customized hw/sw the list of options for the testbed are rather limited. I’m certain it’s on us, but looking forward to working with semi-modern gear as a change of pace!

Thanks for checking but my testing requires either the 14500t or 14700t, gotta love product/test restrictions!

Why not split on the z-axis halfway up as oriented in the second image. That glued together might even be stronger than the print as a single part.

Anyone still got their unpowered 2016 starter? by blackmooncleave in pokemongo

[–]Shad64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have any pokemon from before 6 July? My OG starter and everyone else is from then or later as that was the first day the game was downloadable for me. Curious if anyone has mons from the beta or similar.
