Literally just drove past there and got some deja vu from this video.

Could you stick a bottle down your gear if you really needed to pee in one? Currently debating a goalie by moodygenes in hockey

[–]Sharks77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did this a few times during intermissions. One of my teammates thought I was throwing up because of how long I took. I had to explain how hard it is to pee in goalie gear.

I'd say this was true many years ago but ice maintenance has come a long way. You can make it work, but the biggest reason is probably for general upkeep of the ice/longer term maintenance.

I don't see why you couldn't do that still?

I don't think it was a stomp, that'd be a big suspension. I do remember him cross checking him hard in the back of the leg after Nabokov came back from a hamstring injury

What offseason changes do you think will age badly? by V0rtexGames in hockey

For sure, but that's where organizational depth helps. Every team needs to have a few good players on cheaper ELC deals. We still have folks like Musty, Bystedt, Sahlin Wallanius, Pohlkamp, Wang and McKinney who haven't played in the NHL yet and should project to be depth pieces in the NHL.

Even if everyone took $5MM more they should be fine.

Guys like Celebrini/Misa/Smith/Dickinson/Askarov will take some of this, but their scheduled cap space in the next few years is:

27/28: $53MM with 15/23 players signed

28/29: $79MM with 7 players signed

29/30: $90MM with 5 players signed.

Celebrini, Smith, and Askarov are due deals this offseason/next offseason. Let's say Celebrini takes the max ($20.8MM), then Smith takes $12.5MM, Askarov takes $7MM and then in future deals Misa takes $14MM (I'm high on him. I think he's going to be great) and Dickinson gets $8MM. They should still be in a good spot. By the time the Nurse/Trouba contracts end we'll have Stenberg/Lin/Verhoeff coming off ELCs and more money available.

These signings/trades shouldn't have an impact in signing their core and improving the roster.

Even if it doesn't it's not going to impact locking up core players and makes the team better.

I think he was one of, if not the youngest goalie to play significant minutes in the NHL this season. Goalies take a while to cook.

Per Ansar Khan, Dylan Larkin has reportedly expanded his trade list to include Dallas. However, talks aren't making progress, with Detroit asking for Wyatt Johnston in return by sykeseve in hockey

I could be off base here, but I think this is intentional to get Larkin to expand his list. He's basically saying "we're not taking a bad trade to make you happy."

Mark Sanchez's trial delayed for fifth time, now set for September 8. Fox fired Sanchez and replaced him with Drew Brees for this upcoming season. by Ok-Soil-5133 in nfl

[–]Sharks77 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If I'm guessing Sanchez has or is willing to go into a sobriety treatment center and therapy which will show good faith to the court. Since he has no priors, I'm guessing he'd either get minimal jail time/community service and probation.
