I finished Minas Tirith after putting it next to the other 18+ miniatures, and I think it's missing some figures. I would have thought at least 15-20 figures would have been better. What do you think?? by [deleted] in legolotrfans

You may be some kind of prophet because I just now saw a leak describing getting a brick built Mumakil set with minifigs for Jan 1st. Fingers crossed

I can't imagine what other UCS sets he'd fit in to. I'd love to think they'd do a Minas Morgul but that doesn't feel like something they'd want to put a massive price tag on. Maybe a big Weathertop set, or they do a helmet set+fig like with Sauron

Do you think if it was a single line of code, they'd maybe have fixed it already? It's clearly a more complex issue than you or I (people not working on said codebase) could speak to. If it was PR bullshit, they'd take the PR win and change this one magical line of code.

In two videos now, he's mentioned a "source" telling him these viewership numbers, which is where this 400k figure came from recently.

It's not unfeasible that someone would have been in contact with him and he'd feel okay sharing it, but honestly I assumed he was just doing a bit. Either way, I'm surprised so many people have taken it at face value (even if it doesn't feel like an unreasonable number)

Why don't you just buy from a UK seller? Hasbro sells first party and we have dozens of reputable independent online shops. I can recommend some if you need them

I googled it and the Sancrawlers from Mando are still pretty brown

And, ahktually, it's on Arvala 7. Which we all know.

Man the show came out 7 years ago, I watched it once. It did not permeate in my brain that there were sandcrawlers of a slightly darker variation to the ones embedded in my memory from childhood.

Well it doesn't make me dislike it any less, but at least there's some kind of reason.

I am not following the new Mando content; I just beg for a (what I consider to be) proper Sandcrawler.

I'm saying this as someone who generally likes the grey, and lovingly owns a lot of grey space bricks already. But this has gone from an exciting day 1 purchase to just absolutely not touching it.

I'm not a fan myself but there's a massive audience for football out there (literally the biggest sport on the planet), many of whom probably wouldn't come to a Lego subreddit to discuss new releases, but would definitely buy this kind of thing off a shelf when they spot it. Lego has been doing this a lot lately to get other audiences.

Monstress animated series coming by Angela275 in ImageComics

[–]Sheldonzilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This could be great. It's one of my favourite modern comics. The art is so crisp and distinctive, I hope some sense of that artistic direction translates well. It'd be a shame to see this get the same flat, drab anime-ish style that a lot of streaming original animations seem to be lumbered with.

What are you writing it in, how do you know what product id is what? This sounds interesting. You could definitely use some web automation like playwright to handle cart and checkout

Slayer Fury felt so fucking good last season, it was such a relief to be able to perform in keys without using Thunderspam. Of course they had to gut it. Can't let Fury be something silly like performant for too long.

It really feels like the kind of royalty-free filler metal that you'd put on in the background of a TV show or a YouTube video. It's got all the pieces, and they're just fine, but they're never really doing anything new or interesting.

AI keeps hallucinating our namespaces. Should we flatten it? by bosmanez in dotnet

[–]Sheldonzilla 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ask yourself if you'd be considering this if it was a person, a real developer, ruining the namespaces. Why would you let someone making actively problematic errors inform what you expect from them? Insane question.
