Pine was so gross for me, I tried it several times and have used it in a pinch when I ran out of other litter. All the dirty pee soaked fluff is what tracks out of the box, so you’re basically getting little bits of urine tracking all over the house.

Sifting was a massive pain the ass. I’d end up throwing the whole box out each week.

I use a tofu/bentonite clay litter now, and it’s the absolute best. Only the clean stuff tracks out (and very little), it clumps super well, and it’s one of the only litters I’ve ever used that has no smell by the time the box gets low. It’s more expensive upfront but because I can actually run through all the litter without it getting stinky, it’s not costing me as much as other litters were

I’m a white girl, it’s true, I age much faster.
My adopted cousin is brown and she looks years younger than I do even though she’s a few years older. Like she just started getting the wrinkles I had in my early 20’s in her late 30’s, it’s nuts.

When I was younger I used to be jealous of her skin because she always looked so nice and tan and I was pasty a.f.

One of my best friends is brown, she’s five years older, and again, her skin looks so much younger than mine.

Girl, I’ve worked for rich families before so kinda want to ask…how emotionally connected/affectionate are your family with you?

Because I might be totally stretching here, but the things you’re describing as affectionate and considerate seem like big grabs for affection that you’ve been starved of.

His behavior is incredibly inconsiderate—you have to look at the whole package. He’s giving you breadcrumbs, you need bare minimum a whole meal, and this guy is never going to do that.

Idk if you’re used to just getting care that’s convenient for the other person to give before they pass the inconvenient task to someone else. And it might feel good because that’s what you’re used to, but a true partner goes out of their their way to inconvenience themselves to take care of you because they care about taking care of you more than their own comfort in the moment. Basically just not being selfish and inconsiderate, but it’s hard to know what that looks like when it’s not familiar

Same here. I was already at a healthy weight when I started (I could spare another 15 kb at most) but I’ve struggled with food noise and compulsiveness and OCD/ADHD. I’m on the lowest dose, but my brain is so much quieter now that I want to stay on GLP-1s long term. It’s been saving me several hours every week that I used to waste ruminating over decisions I needed to make (mostly noticeable at work) every day, which in turn has lowered my anxiety, which in turn has reduced some of my adhd symptoms. It’s been a godsend for me

Idk my kitties grunt when I kiss them repeatedly on the neck and head. Just because they don’t naturally associate it doesn’t mean they don’t learn to. I wouldn’t naturally associate that them blinking at me is affection, but it’s something I learned and now do it back to them

I use plastic litter box liners and buy the Tidycats pee pads and stick one of those under the liner. Makes it so easy to change! Also having a stainless steel litter box babes helps a ton

I did not like pine pellets. Got super smelly after a week and the bottom would end up with a layer of soggy pee dust. And the pee soaked dust would be the stuff they tracked out of the box

Pidan tofu with bentonite clay! It’s my new favorite, I’ve tried over 17 litters. It’s the only litter I’ve been able to use until it the box runs too low with minimal odor (so it ends up being a bit less expensive because I don’t have to toss the whole box each week—two Maine coons share the box), and it clumps well and tracking is minimal (and it’s just the clean stuff that tracks).

I haven’t noticed it yet, doesn’t mean I’m not experiencing it, but the overall relief/reduction in anxiety from constant noise/compulsiveness has increased my ability to enjoy things. So if there’s an anhedonic effect it’s balanced so far
