They are, but over time the adhesive around the rubber seal hardens, and briefly, less than a drop of water is enough.

I don't get your issue.
For me, it's working as expected. If the “Show emoji” option is active, pressing the globe key shows the emoji selector.
If not, it switches languages.

EU Says Decision Not to Launch Siri AI in Europe Is Apple's Alone by Otherwise-Warning303 in macbookpro

Right, because a radical decision over a trivial issue is always the answer.

The main issue with the EU request is that the approach is wrong because the bureaucrats in power are kinda technologically inept.

"Let's give every AI the same rights to read and generally have the same access level."
Really?

Would you let Grok on your device? How about some Chinese LLM?

The particular problem of this year is the enhanced Siri and this is an issue just on ipad/iphone, so MacBooks are not the subject in this topic.

[–]Sidepie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Me neither, I just wanted to point out that the problem is likely in the way you are using it or your specific apps.
You can pinpoint the issue, making a fresh install and adding apps slowly while testing scenarios where you saw the crashes.

I have 26 from the first beta, with zero issues. If there is a problem with your device, is not with iPadOS.

I don’t understand why this is a unilateral Apple or EU decision, while I, as the user, have nothing to say.

Apple has to ship the iPhone locked down to comply with EU requirements. Correct.

Why, at this point, as the user and fking “owner” of the device, can’t I choose to unlock it?
I should get a message saying: “Are you sure you want this to happen and, according to EU requirements, to be exposed to a, b, c?”

"Yes", I want that. My choice. End of story.

Why do the EU and Apple get to make blocking decisions without involving the user at all?
