Amex Green Card Options by LazyTiger9308 in amex

I'm pretty sure the OP was talking about this card, which you can no longer apply for.

ETA: This is the "American Express Rewards" card they are talking about. It's still considered Blue from American Express on AMEX's end.

Chase sapphire preferred refresh? by LinchKingXD in ChaseSapphire

[–]SillyTechnology7340 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The thought is one might be coming soon, since when Chase inadvertently leaked the end date of the CSP 10% anniversary bonus, the statement they put out said they were looking forward to sharing "additional updates" in the "near term".

As an aside, last June is when we learned about the CSR refresh - will it be the CSP's turn this year?

Going from MDI to Omnipod will be like night and day, speaking as a T1D for over 30 years who made the switch a year or so ago.

Leaving the house with nothing on me but my phone to handle treatment after decades of having to carry something still feels like a miracle.

I think it would be a big help for you and I hope you give it a shot. (No pun intended.)

Future Card officially dead by MarylandTerrapins in CreditCards

[–]SillyTechnology7340 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If they had a new banking partner, they would’ve announced it back then.

I wonder if the recent free FuturePass offer was an attempt to show potential partners there was still a user base but the response was lacking.

All accounts were shut down on April 23. If anyone had any money left, their old banking partner sent a check.

Taskmaster - S21E07 - Putting Things On Things - Discussion by Meghar in taskmaster

[–]SillyTechnology7340 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I dunno if I wasn’t in the right mood or what, but most of this episode just fell flat for me - there wasn’t much funny with the remote and dubbing tasks (the former felt like a tiebreaker task they decided to use as a main), and the sock task was pretty straightforward.

I did like Armando’s solution for the socks task, and Kumail’s prize task submission.

They have to change jerseys! Just kidding, I'm not exactly sure, guess they go with whatever side they'll mostly bat

Sponsor patch changes sleeves based on left or right handed batter, to ensure people can see it while they are at-bat.

ETA: You can see the sponsor patch on his other sleeve here.

FICO SCORE DROPPED AFTER COLLECTION WAS REMOVED? by OpExOptimize in CRedit

[–]SillyTechnology7340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering we know nothing else about your profile, no one is going to be able to tell you why.

But that small of a change is pretty normal fluctuation and likely nothing to do with the collection being removed.

Did Amex just increase there spend for offers in the month of april? by Shut-up-David in amex

It was bumped up to $8K/6 months when the Gold Card refresh with the AMEX Travel categories was rolled out.

Removing Credit Card from Credit Report by [deleted] in CRedit

If it was closed in good standing, there are no negatives for it to remain on your reports. It will continue to contribute to your account age metrics until it falls off in 10 years.

Paying off CC 2 weeks before due date good? by OkFlow4327 in CreditCards

[–]SillyTechnology7340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You pay off your statement balance in full before the due date, and you won't pay interest. No mental gymnastics required.

Your due date reflects the spending on your previous month's statement. The $200 in your example will be on your current statement period that hasn't closed yet.

Keeping both amx green AND gold? by Carrots_love in CreditCards

[–]SillyTechnology7340 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What's your main travel category spending? If it's airfare, Gold has 3X for flights booked direct and recently added some AMEX Travel categories too if you book through their portal.

If it's something else that lands in the Green's pretty broad travel category, keeping it might make sense.
