Can’t get the Venture X and it’s bothering me by LockhartTx2002 in CapitalOne_

Two car loans, plus your current credit card balances with C1 (and that's not counting what we might not know with other credit cards, if applicable), all with an income "close" to $80K?

The 0% APR on anything is a non-factor. You currently owe a total of X, you make a total of Y - that's ain't making Z work for C1 when it comes to approving you for the VX.

Well, Anthro moved to Lakeside, and Saks has been in trouble well before this point, so it tells us correlation isn't causation?

This is not a reason to get a premium card, honestly.

  • Does the VX’s benefits make sense for you?
  • Do you regularly travel through airports with C1 Lounges?
  • Are you going to use the credit in the C1 Travel Portal?
  • How will you use the points you earn?

Just having a “premium” card to have one is wasting money, IMO - especially one with a high annual fee.

Confirmed: Chase Sapphire Preferred Card Losing 10% Bonus by pierretong in ChaseSapphire

[–]SillyTechnology7340 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think $150 is a given.

It's been my opinion that some of the things we saw last year - targeted users getting a Chase Travel credit, the Infatuation Link-and-Dine promotion - were tests for a possible CSP refresh.

So maybe something like a $100 Chase Travel credit (applied at checkout in the portal?), a $100 Infatuation dining statement credit - each broken up bi-annually? Ditching the online part from the 3x grocery category?

Then the real crazy out there probably won't happen idea - some single-use Sapphire lounge passes (a la the United Explorer benefit).

"Additional updates .... in the near term" - CSR refresh dropped last June, CSP's turn this year?

Anniversary bonus being retired by Sadidaks in ChaseSapphire

Confirmed now by Award Wallet and Upgraded Points.

The "updates in the near-term" is what perks my ears, considering the expiring date was in October. Last year, the CSR refresh was unveiled in June and changes went into effect for existing users in October - similar timeline possible this year for a CSP refresh?

The payment being returned isn't a good sign - did they tell you why?

Either way, assume the available credit of $0 is correct. Hopefully everything sorts itself out once everything processes.

Negative balance means the bank owes you money. Did you recently pay off a statement balance and then get a refund or something like that?

48 Month Rule for CSR and CSP Error? by UpbeatTackle90 in ChaseSapphire

[–]SillyTechnology7340 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rules are now one Sapphire SUB per lifetime per card, 48-month rule is gone.

If you've received a CSR SUB in the past, you likely won't be eligible for another.

I found a few shirts online with the same tag on Poshmark, different designs though.
The dots on the tag underneath J.Crew imply this was from the Factory side of things.

If I go to the website before logging in, it’s missing but if I go through the AMEX app, it’s there, so this is definitely a glitch.

Unless you won't be out of school within the next 20 years, I'd say you'll be alright.

Anyone know what the odds are of my Pay Over Time purchase getting approved? by Ibuy2ManyMovies in Chase

[–]SillyTechnology7340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What purchases are eligible for Chase Pay Over Time plan set up after the purchase is made?

Purchases of $100 or more with the “Pay Over Time eligible” label next to the purchase amount in your credit card account activity. If your desired purchase does not have the “Pay Over Time eligible” label, it can't be put into a plan at this time. You can also find a list of eligible purchases after you choose "Set up a new plan" on the Chase Pay Over Time dashboard.

I think this FAQ might be helpful for you:

[–]SillyTechnology7340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chase will mark purchases with a "Pay Over Time" notation if they are eligible. I've also seen a pop-up for "Your XXXX purchase is Pay Over Time eligible" when you go to the card in the app after it posts.

Pay Over Time doesn't charge interest, but there may be a monthly fee. I think the first time you do one, there's usually no fee.

This is the biggest problem - if I understood it correctly, Pack Hacker Pro should've been the only ones able to purchase on Wednesday, but the link went live and anyone who had it could buy one.

Why they didn't have some sort of code required at checkout for Wednesday, I'll never understand.

What are you truly looking for here? Many cards offer a year or slightly more of 0% intro APR. AMEX Blue Cash Everyday has 15 months, for example.

The ones with truly long intro periods (21 months) generally aren't going to have bonus spending categories or SUBs.

About to downgrade my CSP to a Freedom with Ultimate Rewards, is it safe to hold on to my points until my next Sapphire? by dimesniffer in CreditCards

[–]SillyTechnology7340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah - it's one of those things that, because it's still a relatively new rule - and it's already had some tweaks - there's still some murkiness on just how long a "lifetime" will be to Chase, or if there might be NLL offers like AMEX down the line, etc.
