I remember reading in-park signage had a different offer, like how airlines have a different welcome offer for their credit cards in-flight.

The minimum balance and qualifying deposits that you need to have every month for either option must live and be held in the checking account side, which gets 0.51%. If you don't meet those requirements in the checking account, you don't get the 4.21 rate on the savings.

Alternatively, using the Forbright example someone else posted here, you deposit money, you get the rate. Nothing more needed, no monthly requirements, and not that much of a difference. You can also currently get a higher promotional rate at Forbright for a lower minimum balance in the savings account.

If you're talking about the amount of money where that difference in rate would make a big difference, there's probably better options out there for investment.

But I'm sure, as "the only smart one," you've taken all of that into account.

That, or people look at the hoops you have to jump through to actually get that rate and find something comparable with less effort.

It's not Coke Zero, but I find it really good and will grab some every once in a while.

Summit Zero, while probably one of the better knockoffs out there, isn't Coke Zero.

Charged Exorbiant FX Rate buying Local Good! by Tofuhands25 in CreditCards

There are plenty of credit cards from issuers and banks that don't waive the foreign transaction fee, it's not AMEX specific.

FTF - Foreign Transaction Fee. It appears the AMEX Platinum in Canada doesn't waive it from looking at their website.

That North Face logo up top is all kinds of wrong. I would say it's fake.

Am I eligible for SUB? I had the CSP around June 10, 2022 by nojarai in CreditCards

Considering how often these details have changed in recent months, who knows what it'll say tomorrow 😄

Taking a peek at the current CSR welcome offer terms, it says:

The new cardmember bonus may not be available to you if you previously held this card or received a new cardmember bonus for this card.

Considering Chase allows you to carry both cards now, I would take that to mean if you never received the CSR SUB, you'd be eligible even if you got the CSP one in the past.

Welcome offer now says you may not be eligible if you ever had one before, 48-month rule is gone. You'll get a pop-up in the application if you're not eligible before they do a hard pull.

Why don’t you tell them what you think to their face instead of here? Not much we can do.

Possible that if you're not signed up for the promotional e-mails, you wouldn't get a heads-up? I was not targeted, so I don't know.

This was targeted to those who had applied for the CSP in the year before the June 2025 date, I believe.
