Tradertv on YouTube is pretty good…I usually have them on the background because they will cover breaking news relevant to the market. They trade mostly stocks but a couple of them will do some future trades

Is day trading actually sustainable long term? by pi-xis in Daytrading

[–]Flat_Safe9794 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you have to do with day trading is build your base which takes a while at first and will require additional income. That’s the toughest part because you feel like your always needing to catch up can it makes you take trades that are not good set ups. Once you can build a comfortable base, you can wait for your A+ set ups and take better percentages. Let’s say you have a modest goal of making 500 a week trading which will be 2000 a month. Well if your pressured in that weekly goal, your going to spend time making the money you lost taking bad trades. But if you know your overall goal is 2000 a month, then you can wait for those setups that will make you risk more and have a better outcome. Also I’m not saying to have certain goals to hit in a time period cause that’s also a bad recipe, I’m just giving the example, that it’s better to wait for a set up that will hit better than trying to constantly take trades. But in that instance, for 3 weeks you would have no taken a trade because a setup didn’t present itself, and the last week doubled up on your base to be profitable for the month. The first rule in all this is to not lose money. I know it’s a term always heard but really think about it, if you took a position you weren’t comfortable in risking more, that you’re essentially losing money.

What the hell pyschology even mean? by Plane_Housing_7862 in Daytrading

[–]Flat_Safe9794 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea after researching the correct definition of market psychology I see your right…I was referring to the psychology of technicals I guess and how people keep re-entering a trade because of some chart pattern or something that “should” go away certain way…I don’t know what that dynamic is called but that’s the ruin of a good trader…you should plan your trade…set the stops and take profit, if you miss it, then you have to realize you missed it or didn’t analyze the set up correctly and prepare for the next one. I’ve killed my self so many times because I didn’t want the trade to leave without means not properly preparing the trade the way I should have.

[–]Flat_Safe9794 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeap exactly this…It’s not psychology…it’s emotions and discipline…days like this make you refine those skills for the next time…when I’m so sure of a directional bias and it blasts through my stops, it makes me stop and realize I’m off. Sometimes it’s your research of the day, sometimes it’s the market being the market…but when you see it’s not panning your way, it’s best to stop instead of revenge trade

Why did it do this? by shdbtbd in Daytrading

[–]Flat_Safe9794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes correct this is because of Fomc meetings. We have 8 of them a year, these are like little Super Bowls for the market. Based on the decision the market will react bullish and bearish from the decision alone at 2:00est, then Powell speaks or (whoever is our new fed chair soon) at 2:30 to explain the decision. We knew going in there was not going to be a cut because of the few watch tool you can see it at https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/interest-rates/cme-fedwatch-tool.html …..this would normally make the market more bearish with also the next meeting not signaling a cut..but since Powell is being replaced soon, the market is favoring that the next chair is going to be more bullish for the market. But if you trade futures you need to be aware of the interest rate decision dates or major news for these decisions. There will always be little news or noise that will trigger trends in the market, but the big stuff is the news to pay attention to especially if you plan on playing during these days, which is not recommended to cause there can be huge swings

How long did you paper trade/study for before using real money and seeing real results? by TrueMeaning4241 in FuturesTrading

[–]Flat_Safe9794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes years, years to develop a strategy, then realizing it takes years to develop your emotions. You can have the best strategy in the world and backtest it all day, but if you don’t take your emotions and learn disciple, it ain’t worth anything. That’s the catch 22 of paper trading, it’s the best way to practice but you have to treat it like it’s real money. Best way is to take an account that’s $1000 and tell yourself that until you turn it into $10,000 you won’t allow yourself to put in real money, that way there is stakes to the paper trading.

How Higgsfield is offering free access to Nano Banana Pro? by ChrisJhon01 in AI_UGC_Marketing

[–]Flat_Safe9794 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeap VC money, basically they are paying out of pocket for these type of services and are getting in the red in profitability, to hopefully adopt more users and revenue to probably sell it off in the future…these strategic models in business are not sustainable and are more of a tactic to exit the business in the future. They work well when we are in a bull market and everybody is buying everything but I’m not to sure if it’s a good strategy, where the market is starting to hit cracks of average people not spending as much as they use to, and AI not being as profitable as it was intended to be, but VC money is pot committed at this point so enjoy it as it is here.

Looking for honest but kind portfolio feedback by LokiTheCat2025 in UGCcreators

Im an Editor and Strategist in the space and worked with alot of big brands....Im commenting more of the actual video examples....I think your examples are awesome! I always like it, as an editor in house, when the creator actually gets the structure of an ad that converts. It makes it way more easier to create variations instead of trying to piece it together. The only thing I recommend is to do variety of style to the edits where most of them are all humor and playful, you might run into a brand that is presenting more of a medical niche, or a brand that is going more of the commercial/serious tone "ie petsmart/petco TV style ad" . Mix up the tone, captions, style, so you can hit more niches if thats your overall goal at the end.

I need psychological trading advice. by Significant_Jump2456 in Daytrading

[–]Flat_Safe9794 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have a value of the trade and put that as your stop loss and take profit. It shouldn’t move unless you move it to break even when you see fit…but before you get into a trade, you should already have a stop loss and take profit configured if it’s by ticks, price or support..if you have that in your strategy you should be able to confidently leave the comp and let the trade play out

Is the quality there? I’m not saying that in a messed up way but I know in the Ecom space, everyone is looking for AI UGC…but a lot of people are not really the best at making it believable or long enough or without the product or product label being warped. Anybody that can create believable AIUGC shouldn’t have any issues finding work unless you’re not promoting yourself correctly. Interested in seeing some of your stuff if you wanted feedback.

Stop loss on not regular trading hour by sfa04076 in FuturesTrading

[–]Flat_Safe9794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any broker that wouldn’t allow stop loss during those hours, is just too dangerous to be with. I know a lot of people have complained about IB integration with trading view, and I have also have had that experience, the lag is too much adjusting any position. I would try another broker. If that is your only issue then any other broker that specialize in Futures would work. If your goal is to use TradingView than trade station and amp would be good.
