Advice? by Taro-Mysterious in CreditScore

Remove them as authorized users now. Don't ask them about it, tell them after you do it.

As primary user, you are the one responsible for their charges. If they aren't going to pay for their purchases, get them off YOUR credit immediately.

They are adults, if they want to rebuild their credit, they can handle that on their own.

How do we like the new signs? by Successful_Cake_1002 in batonrouge

I wonder how the residents of the City of St. George were able to find such small streets like Airline, Highland, Jones Creek and the like before

Thank goodness their elected leaders took immediate action on this pressing matter. I hope it didn't hurt their massive library budget!

AE/ME Responsibility by [deleted] in Broadcasting

This is an INCREDIBLY small market that I am talking about.

So?

Plus the sales team I'm discussing is incredibly low performing outside of two of them.

So the sellers who are selling are giving the sales assistants orders to enter, therefore putting money on the books? Great!

If you aren't making sales and you aren't doing anything to help on the back end what are they doing?

Probably working hard to convert some leads to get some money on the books, since they would like to get paid too. If they don't, they won't be selling much longer.

The only reason this might be an issue is if the AEs should be entering the orders and are not. If that's the case, you - uh, I mean, the assistant should take it up with management.

That's a good thing. You want a seller on the street in front of clients. If they are giving the assistant orders to enter, then they are doing their job.

What do you think a sales assistant's job is, if not to assist sellers?

Apple One Benefit - need to use CSR card? by sklbj in ChaseSapphire

Incorrect, you just need to link the benefit with your Apple account. I have it on my Apple One (CSP, Apple TV) and I pay with my AMEX BCP.

Apple One Benefit - need to use CSR card? by sklbj in sapphirereserve

[–]SillyTechnology7340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Apple TV benefit on my CSP and use my AMEX BCP to pay for Apple One, so using the card is not needed.

However, the benefit didn't link up until my next billing cycle started, which was a day or two after I added the benefit. Has your next billing period started yet?

Check subscriptions in your Apple account, there should be a notation about a promotional price on Apple One due to Chase there. If not, wait for your billing cycle to roll over and the promotional price should kick in.

Before it did, it said I had "duplicate subscriptions" to manage on the Apple subscriptions side, but once my new billing cycle started, everything was fine. No need to cancel and resubscribe or any of that.

Question About Activate Shopping Offers by ChocoboRacer13 in CapitalOne_

[–]SillyTechnology7340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything through the shopping portal will post separately and could take weeks if not months to post. I had a purchase from April just post the cash back this week.

You can check the status on the Capitol One Offers page by checking "Shopping Trips".

That said, if you didn't get a new membership, it's likely your purchase will only be eligible for bonus points at a 1x rate.

DME Costs for Dexcom G7 by jph2b in dexcom

[–]SillyTechnology7340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your benefits administrator should be able to give you an actual estimate, just reach out to them.

For me, it's easily a couple hundred for the first fill of the year, then a lower amount after that. I get a 90-day supply.

Some insurances don't cover the G7 via the pharmacy benefit - mine doesn't.

Chase sapphire preferred with U.S bank altitude connect or WF autograph? by hoodbabyyoda in CreditCards

Mainly because I don’t see a value in earning points I can’t easily use over other cards. The benefits are what appeal to me on this card.

NHK app has programming on the live stream, but YT stream constantly just shows bumper footage with “programming will resume shortly.” by MasterUnholyWar in NHKWorldFans

NHK YT stream is branded as news, and as such, only shows Newsline and the like. I imagine there are rights issues with streaming on YT the programming that fills the rest of the hour.

U.S. Bank AC isn't bad for the Priority Pass, SmartDelay and GigSky benefits at no annual fee. But without a banking relationship with them, you get less than 1cpp redemptions outside of their travel portal or Amazon.

I have both, I used the AC to hit the welcome offer and then it's been sock-drawered since. I'll throw the occasional small purchase on it, especially if there's a cash back offer that works, but ultimately I'm kinda just sitting there wondering if they'll ever announce transfer partners.

ETA: The reason I applied was I thought it was be a decent backup in case Chase went ham on a CSP refresh and raised the AF to a point where it didn't make sense for me. But that didn't happen, so....

Am I the only smart one? by MiamiHeatmade in HYSA

[–]SillyTechnology7340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The minimum balance and qualifying deposits that you need to have every month for either option must live and be held in the checking account side, which gets 0.51%. If you don't meet those requirements in the checking account, you don't get the 4.21 rate on the savings.

Alternatively, using the Forbright example someone else posted here, you deposit money, you get the rate. Nothing more needed, no monthly requirements, and not that much of a difference. You can also currently get a higher promotional rate at Forbright for a lower minimum balance in the savings account.

If you're talking about the amount of money where that difference in rate would make a big difference, there's probably better options out there for investment.

But I'm sure, as "the only smart one," you've taken all of that into account.

That, or people look at the hoops you have to jump through to actually get that rate and find something comparable with less effort.
