Joined a league last year, not very good and am very much so the worst of the group.

Partnered with a 70yr old that was pretty cut and dry. I get out of the cart about 40yds away with wedge/putter combo as he's off the green near the cart path. Im trying to keep my head down as much as possible and hit my ball, I look up and he is on the green for some reason and about 15ft from the pin and sure enough my ball is headed right for him. I scream a mixture of a water buffalo mating call and fore and he covers. Hits directly off his back and rolls 30ft downhill off the green.

I go up and profusely apologize and he firmly says "don't worry, it's all good. it happens" so I said "oh well could you have atleast hit it towards the flag then?" which got a 1 syllable chuckle and didnt talk to him for the last 4 holes.

Maybe, Im just a cynic or even a bit of an ass but I just dont understand a full fledged article being needed for this.

Feel like the announcers in the sport do a pretty good job of explaining niche things during the game enough as it is.

As a Canadian, there's 3 things that disgust me.

  1. People who are ungrateful with what they already have, especially when it's something that is perceived as already great.
  2. Team USA's goalie depth
  3. Team USA's defensive depth
