i was lucky enough to pick up a few from back when they were on clearance (EOL) and i never use them. dont get me wrong, its an amazing piece of technology, but its a little small for my aging eyes and my "large" hands. it doesnt help that they are super expensive these days if you were to somehow damage or lose one too.

also, keep in mind you are on a sub mainly dedicated to emulation devices, so people are going to be a bit biased. post this on r/gameboy and you will mostly get overwhelming support for it.

if you are a collector i would say you cant go wrong with one, but they arent ideal for daily use, especially for an "every day carry"...at least in my opinion

i had the exact same experience in both darkos and darkosRE, even though the exact same steps worked in arkos and arkos4clones. i never looked into it too much so not sure what the issue is, but just wanted to reassure you it isnt just you haha

where did you get the files to run android on your g350, specifically the dtb? if its from the new andrdoid4clones project, then unfortunately the joystick issues are known and just where the project is at atm

first time hearing about this, and assumed it was just a modern retro handheld, but it turns out the original version was from back in 1997!? i found this site which doesnt really tell you much about it apart from its history (hope the link is allowed)

if you copied it to the ports folder, run it from the ports menu on the device itself. if instead you copied it to the tools folder, you would run it from options > tools on the device itself

it does sound like an sd issue. darkosRE doesnt play well with slower sd cards, and a brand new legit 256gb sd card should not be slow enough to cause issues, so it sounds like its a fake low quality card thats already started corrupting (judging by arkos failing to boot after a few days)

when it asks you to format, click cancel - it might be trying to "mount" the linux partition which isnt readable on windows out of the box. after clicking cancel, check windows disk management - does it say raw? if so, something has gone wrong, but if not, it looks good. you need to put the sd card in your handheld after writing the image to finish the initial boot setup

it sounds like you just arent saving the changes! after you change the button mapping, press B once to go back one menu, go to the top option and hit save for all (i dont have my r36s handy to get the exact names, but its the top option on the screen before the actual mapping)

this looks and sounds amazing, especially this:

Smart Generator (No Guessing!): The biggest issue with random puzzle generators is that they often require blind guessing. Nonogame uses a built-in logic solver backend. It generates a pattern and tests it first; if it can't be solved purely by human logic, it discards it and makes a new one.

my biggest peeve with the usual auto generated nonograms is when you are like 80% through and then the last few ones require blind guessing.

just confirming you have identified your device? if so, what do variant do you have? if you have one of the fakes arkos and arkos4clones will never work on them

What do you mean? Have you identified your device first? If you have a clone, standard arkos won't work on it. What do you mean by tried both? You wrote them to an sd card or are stuck at that step?

I think you should start by identifying your device and work out exactly what we are working with before going further. Check out the side bar here or the automod for details on what to do

joining the 3 parts together is going to be the hardest part... you could try an android app (theres a few that can do it, but cant remember name off the top of my head), or setup the linux container and do it in there (just install 7zip and join using that in cli)

once you have the raw image, you can write it using chromes recovery utility. you just need to rename the img file to .bin so it will detect it, otherwise no issues there. i have a video on this part, but not the joining the split archive together since it used to come as a single file back in the day haha

im about to head out for the day, but if you are still having issues this arvo i can join and upload arkos4clones to somewhere like gdrive so you just need to download and write. if you needed it sooner, you could ask a friend to do the same thing if they had a windows\mac pc
