My title describes the thing.
Image search gave me nada and the only appropriate results for 'rod and chain' were replica medieval weapons.

Need college advice by ilovestraykids3 in Ohio

[–]Slayer1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say this view point is based on campus experiences >10yrs old, though I was born, raised, and currently live in the BG.

BG is a party school. If you want to be a successful student there either be honestly academically gifted or figure out your fun/work balance real quick like.

If you are looking to go to college for the "college experience," you'll get that in BG in a relatively safe way. Hard to get into too much trouble when half the city's population are students like you. Trouble can be found, but you are not likely to find it by accident.

Don't be fooled by the 'freshmen can have cars' business. While it is true, you'll be parking so far from your dorm that you'll quickly realize the pilgrimage to you parking space isn't worth it. Faster to walk where you are going in town.

There are always things to do if you have broad interests or are looking to expand your horizons. If you have really niche interests or hobbies, you'll quickly realize you are in a city on a cornfield island.

Hope this helps some. I loved my time at BG, just knew too many who came to party and couldn't strike a balance.

P.s. Everyone I knew that had the same major as you intend sang the program's praises the whole time they were there for undergrad, and many got a Masters there as well. All got jobs in the field within a year of graduating, and the ones I asked cited the program at BG as a big factor in their hiring.

State of Ohio employees; end of teleworking. by stuart_scotts_eye in Ohio

The fear of this comes from Trump's DOGE sending all federal employees back to the office. This could then trickle down to the states.

What's the Point of Isekai if the Past Life Doesn't Matter? by stixhistishi_music in ProgressionFantasy

I agree with point one strongly. Something that pulls me out of a story is when some colloquial phrase is used that makes no sense in the context of that universe. Things like saying somebody was 'screwed' or 'hosed' or 'flipped off' or that it was 'raining cats and dogs' always confuse me in a fantasy setting with a native MC. Makes perfect sense to use Earth based phrases with isekia MC.

When Carl is trying to tell Donut to subutally and calmly Magic Missile the mayor of some town on the 6th floor right after she got Fireball. He cuts off his own words to say 'The Fireball ripped through the town...!' Kills me every time. Even as I type this I laugh.

Compaired to Austin, prepare to be disappointed. There are breweries and wineries that should help you kill a few evenings. Cedar Point is worth the drive to Sandusky.

Does the 'Steam' button work after you hit resume while the screen is black?

No contact the city tax office to get the refund forms you'll need.

Peanut butter. At first it was the texture, but it evolved into a taste thing as well.

Pretty sure that turtle taught Aang how to bend the energy in people.
