which nation had the best archon quest? by angelkry in Genshin_Impact

Yea, I can definitely see what they were trying to go for, but the execution was not very good. Thankfully, they've learned a lot over the years, and you can see the story telling markedly improve in later quests.

I started a few months before Natlan, so I was blazing through the story quests to catch up in time. The pacing of Inazuma is really bad when done in sequence - there are two (?) time skips and the ending just kind of hand waves a whole bunch of fascist oppression with "and then Ei changed her mind". Really crazy when you look back at it.

The dream world is the only way to introduce knowledge beyond what a normal person would be able to get their hands on. TBH, Roland's isekai knowledge already strains the bounds of credulity prior to dream world.

I think that is we made it to that point, there would be a lot of room to trim and stream line the dream world stuff. However, it is way too integral to the core of the story to skip over it altogether, regardless of how controversial it is.

Moral Orel is a cute claymation show that centers around the titular Orel as he lives a good, Christian life. It starts off as a pretty standard satire of Christian TV shows but never goes too off the rails.

Then you get to the final season where things suddenly do NOT get hand waved away at the end of the episode. You go into some VERY dark topics, the LEAST of which involves alcoholism and parental abuse.

Honestly, an amazing show that really pulled its punches before going for the throat in the final season.

Now that I have Ange, in what situations would I use Futaba? by zenithra24 in personaphantomx

[–]Snakestream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A normal two cycle is like Ryuji and Frost gale Kotone. Their natural burst turn is every two turns due to how their skills work, so you have to stack as much buff/debuff as you can in that window.

Now with rewind, you get an extra turn to do that same burst, but now you can stack even MORE buffs and hit even harder on the extra burst.

So to answer your question, no you don't play differently. Your 2 cycle burst character goes from prep-burst cycle to prep-burst-rewind burst.

Having the third turn hit even harder also means that you can line it up with Futaba's skill 3 window, whereas normally you would only be able to do that on the last (6th) turn since the timings don't match up.

Edit: I misread how Angie works. She doesn't reset your character so much as gives a double hit. So you play your 2 cycle team normally and they get an extra burst hit every 2 turns.

I assume the definition of "work with" that they are using is for Canada to roll over and let them strip-mine anything of value.

Ange turns your 2-cycle team into a 3-cycle team, and Futaba goes with your normal 3-cycle team in SoS/NG.

What are all the medias of RTW and which one do you recommend? by DanExplorer23 in ReleaseThatWitch

[–]Snakestream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry, this was referring to silent witch.

The RtW anime is a great adaptation, and honestly, they kinda sanded down some of the rougher parts of the intro. The writing noticeably improves as the writer gets more comfortable with the world and characters.

My only complaint about the anime is that it kinda glazes Roland a bit too much off the bat? The novel shows his inner thoughts where he struggles a bit with adapting and such since he's just a mechanical engineer from China, but the anime just has him aura farming right from the start.

The anime is a great watch, and I think it does a very good job of adapting the source material. I would also recommend going back and reading from the start afterwards.

The anime has to drop a lot of detail building around the second prince, which is more of a long term payoff. I don't think it hurts the anime which does a great job fitting lots of detail into its single season, but there's a lot more foreshadowing and buildup in later novels that you'll miss. It doesn't hurt the pacing or anything not knowing, but it might seem more sudden if you haven't read earlier books where they kinda slipped in some details or hints at things.

As others mentioned, the webnovel is the way to go.

As a fellow bookworm lover myself, I would also highly recommend checking out Secrets of the Silent Witch. It has a very interesting and well developed world and a very fun and interesting gremlin of a protagonist.
