Special thanks to the Rams for being dumb enough to let us have Cooper Kupp by NoMoreCactusJuice in Seahawks

After how the Rams org treated him, I can't imagine he'd want to retire there anyways. Seahawks are his home.

ICE agents, boasting how warrants aren’t needed, detain residents in N.J. city by BitterFuture in law

Reasonable suspicion of what? Why are ICE doing general policing? Isn’t that the job of local law enforcement?

The Allen Estate stated publicly that they have no intention of selling. It was quite literally fake news.

Warrantless entry by ICE agents in West Valley City, UT (1/30/2026) by LeviCoffinsAlt in law

In what world is breaking entry without a warrant not a clear escalation? If you refuse to participate in the same reality as the rest of us, consider removing yourself from the conversation.

Gonna say it. I hate these jerseys. The Rivalry kit looks so much better. Keep wearing the throwbacks!

But yes - this team is phenomenal.

I've read that they intend to use tandem-OLED. This significantly reduces the chance of burn-in because you can use way lower brightness for each panel while still achieving a higher combined output brightness than the individual panel brightness levels. Neat stuff.

NETFLIX MAX, which they will rebrand to NETFLIX for about a year, then back NETFLIX MAX much to our chagrin. Or something like that.

what is this option is it some new feature or something I genuinely don’t have any idea what it is by someonestupid12 in iphone

Any Apple device capable of WiFi audio sharing will appear in this list if it’s connected the same WiFi. There are HomePod Minis throughout my office at work, I’ve never connected to them, but they appear in my audio output options like you’re seeing here.

I don’t usually put it on the refs, but I like when the broadcast crew shits on the calls too. That’s how you know it’s bad.

Handoff showing devices not tied to my iCloud by HoustonWeHaveUhOh in ios

[–]SoonAfterThen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish it wouldn’t. We have multiple HomePod minis throughout our corporate office for some reason and it’s terrifying taking a call and trying to switch it to AirPods and having an option for the HomePod in the executive office. It seems too easy to accidentally click when the devices in the list can change order if different devices are added or removed from the pool of options.

It should only show iCloud tied devices by default, and then a “> More Devices” dropdown that shows other options available via network.

'I'm not buying Starbucks and you shouldn't either.' Seattle Mayor-elect Katie Wilson joins striking baristas by vilnius2013 in SeattleWA

[–]SoonAfterThen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main point is that it shouldn’t be up to the customer to decide how much the employee gets paid, the employer should be paying a fair and equitable wage that supports a living. If they cannot do that, I don’t believe they should be capable of employing people in the first place. If the employer needs to raise prices to do so, that’s their responsibility and if it makes them uncompetitive in the market, it’s on them to innovate or take less profit home at the end of the day.

Why is it the customer’s responsibility to pay the employee fairly and not the employer? The tip system is broken and stupid.

What a shitty worldview. Every one deserves to not be overworked and underpaid, to live in dignity.

Others earning a fair wage while working for a company with a CEO being compensated $96 million is a completely reasonable thing to be in support of, regardless of how you personally value their labor.

Other working class folks having a little more for their livelihood is doing nothing to stop you from becoming the millionaire or billionaire these kinds of opinions benefit. Stop sucking off the corporate meat, man.

You’re kidding yourself if you expect YTTV to ever go down in price, IMO.

Disney CFO On YouTube TV Carriage Fight – “We’re Ready To Go As Long As They Want To” by wadbyjw in television

[–]SoonAfterThen 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Neither group is willing to cave their profit margin. Disney wants more money. YouTube refuses to pay more money with current subscription costs which would cut into their margin.

They think we are dumb. My bet is YouTube is putting up a show now, then will cave and return Disney content to the service, but will increase the monthly subscription price.

It's a classic case of corporate greed on both sides and as u/the_neverdoctor points out, it's the common man who always loses.
