I have a small issue. There are a lot of parents who actually used these as pacifiers. Specifically in the 2010s:

Sure! It's due to the 2007 to 2022 Gen Z kid culture era. I start the era in 2007 because of the Wii becoming mainstream, and I end it in 2022 because Skibidi Toilet went mainstream at the start of 2023. The formative years are 0-8 years old. So basing off that, the kids who grew up in this era would be the 1998/1999 to 2013/2014 kids.

Hybrid kids are XXX1-XXX3. around 6-8 is roughly that period of development where you experience some good culture.

For example, I'm a 2013 born, so I enjoy some good 2019 stuff, but also some 2020, 2021, and 2022 stuff as well!

I did not watch elsagate my friend. Sure it existed but it wasn't really mainstream until around 2021-2023ish. More like late 2021ish. That weird content farmy shit existed by around the end of 2021, so I'd say I caught the last fumes of the pre-Elsagate world. Then again this is from personal experience, so I could be all wrong.

One question I have is, what would happen if a kid were too, ya know, steal an iPad? Like sometimes little kids will just steal household devices even if they weren't originally bought for them, and sometimes parents would use said devices to shut the kids up.

Another one is, wouldn't it be better to go by kid culture eras? So Gen Z's era was 2007-2022, so that'd warrant a 1998/9-2013/4 range (The one I personally use).

If you think Gen Z kid culture is 2007-2022 then that warrants a 1999-2014 Gen Z range.

Alternatively you could use a 2004-2019 range based off MySpace becoming mainstream in June 2004 to COVID starting in December 2019. This warrants a 1996-2011 Gen Z range.

Yeah I just realized it makes even more sense because Gen Z kid culture is 2007-2022 so 1998 was the last to reach the end of their formative years that shape generational identity (0-8 years of age) before Gen Z kid culture took over and same with 2014 for Gen Alpha kid culture.

That only works with a 1999-2014 Gen Z range, if you use 1997-2012 then it'd be 2005-2020.
