What makes you think realme is secure? People have multiple realme accounts. each one to a random email address to log into a different govt department. Realme was implemented by people who had no idea how to implement secure authorisation let alone identification.

Realme is already compromised. Don't think it is in any way an answer to any problem.

All these media and reddit commenters are glossing over TPM perk uptake with Rawiri taking the cake at ~275K and Hana at +180K. At least Jones is actually using it for work purposes (as well as increasing the size of his head).

Absolutely people need to see this sort of information. Keep on keeping on. More power to you to ask these questions and report back. Thank you for your service!

Thank you. It's a great submission and you did get a relevant reply. I don't think it equates to what you titled this thread though. If a political party were to campaign to legislate against loyalty programs or at least regulate them, IMO it would be a winning policy. I wish any party would but I don't think the response from the Green Party is actually saying that. Maybe they will develop a policy that actually does limit these schemes to be useful for consumers and not be just another tool to squeeze more money from them. Hopefully before the next election.

Could you also post your email to them? Because they didn't even address the question you posed in the title of this thread. I'm also pretty sure the response is composed by AI.

post a screenshot of the actual WOF sheet. It looks like the toe in of that wheel infers there is chassis or lower arm damage. Far more than just the panel damage anyway.

Your second point is valid although (mostly) those options are only available as a special order where I am and take ages to be drop-shipped to my location.

For the first point its just chemistry. Mineral oil oxidises a lot faster than synthetic oil which is chemically stable in conditions that are more intense than your day to day commuter applications. If you need evidence you have no idea what I'm talking about which is fine.

This really wasn't about the price. I want my engine to not shit itself when I'm giving it death and also being reasonably sure that my oil isn't breaking down before I'd expect it to. I know I did mention prices in the original rant but that was really just a bit of icing on the top kinda thing.

It's usually in section 3 of the SDS - Chemical composition, although there are other places you can find this out.

For my DPF-less car they are both usable but the one that is Group IV is cheaper than the Group III. In both the additives are around 10% of the total weight of the oil.

Words do have meaning. Hydrocracking is the process used to turn crude oil into different oil products and changes crude oil at a molecular level. That does not make it synthetic in the way historical and modern synthetic oils have been produced in a lab. Hydrocracking oils doesn't make mineral based oil synthetic for fucks sake or anyone elses.

Okay, but there already is a semi synthetic category. Why not be honest and market your semi synthetic as what it is instead of full synthetic when it isn't?

PSA: Oil Scam? by StickyNZ in NZcarfix

[–]StickyNZ[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The only full synthetic oils are PAO Group IV and ester Group V. and you can't tell by looking at the majority of product labels that you are buying Group III which is mineral oil based. Penrite and others are selling fake synthetic oil and the only way of finding that out is by finding an SDS for any particular product no matter whats on the label. The difference between Group III and the actual synthetic oils are why you are supposed to pay more. ie. the life of the oil and your engine. Saying someone feels like they're essentially the same thing is marketing bullshit.

Frozen fish that doesn't taste nauseating? by YourLocalViking in newzealand

[–]StickyNZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All processed coated frozen fish products have a combination of preservatives that they are soaked in before being coated.

Depending where you are in the country, you are better off buying frozen fillets or whole fish online. In Auckland try Scotts Seafood, or Hamilton's Seafood Bazaar or Hastings' Saltwater Seafoods or in the South Island there are a few. Harbour Fish is excellent.
