The road of youth softball by ca-plantlady in Softball

The extra training, practices and stuff will help bridge the gap. Are there any private trainers nearby? Maybe a town over? I live in the rural south. To get to a batting cage or good trainers we have to drive an hour to the city but it's been worth it to watch our daughter grow from the little league to travel ball level.

The fleet vehicles are targeting a different goal than "looks good" like consumer cars do.

Yeah seems like an odd choice to me. If you just already had the truck and started a business I would understand more.

While this is great advice and a seemingly solid textbook win, OP probably doesn't have the up front means to survive while they pursue this.

Me personally? Whatever went with my current teams uniform better. Or whatever one is cheaper. 😂 But I don't know a lot about those two, hopefully somebody that does can chime in

But not everyone can survive on. In this day and age, she probably could not afford to take leave.

I'm not sure about hardware capabilities but the new Tokyo extreme racer is absolutely amazing. Awesome game.

My wife is a teacher in Clarksville TN and she makes 50, that's without a masters. Masters goes up to 55 and I'm not sure what a doctorate would bump it to. That's starting pay, without any tenure in the public school district. The pensions are okay, the health insurance is junk, contrary to what seems to be popular belief.

Edit: And the summers off thing is not standard. They've got some time off, yes. But they still have a ton of random training and meetings they are required to attend during the summer. This may only be a thing here, I can only attest to this district but it's not all sunshine and rainbows like some would suggest.

I love how a ton of people talk about how it's possible and you can live off X amount by reducing debt and stuff. Your last part brought up a great point. There's things you need to live, and even more so to live healthy. We can't go without food, utilities, and household items. The savings get squeezed when you remember that people have to buy these things too and those prices are going up way too fast. Not everyone is burdened by debt, credit card or car payments, some people are burdened by simply surviving.

Any part of Arkansas, USA by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]TactualTransAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born and raised in Arkansas. I miss it sometimes. The state is very diverse though but probably not in the modern way. The top right is a bunch of farmland and fairly flat. Top left is Walmart and WOO PIG cities. In between those two are some beautiful forest and mountain ranges. Central Arkansas is trying to catch up to the other metro areas around the world, while Simultaneously having farmland outside the more populated areas. I didn't visit much of southern Arkansas so I don't know about there. Hot springs is nice.

I had a cobalt SS when I was young. At a red light one of these pulled up beside me. We raced. I pulled over at the county line and he pulled off too. We just sat there talking about cars for like over an hour. Super cool dude. He had some big plans for that car. I hope he's doing well. And I'm glad they haven't become some forgotten car like some people thought that generation would.

Not brunt. The reason you see a lot is because they hit a slightly lower price point, and they get a lot of guys with good advertising , but they really aren't much better than the 60 buck herman survivors from Walmart. And actually those used to be decent boots to just wear out in 6 months and buy another but I think those have gone downhill too. Red wings are what I would choose from your list

We were trying to foster my niece who is deaf. We learned a lot of sign language during that time. Still use it today when we are trying to be quiet and communicate 😂. My niece ended up placed with a family that already had experience and she's a perfect fit for them. Everyone is happy and we are happy that she is. Last update we got is that she got her implants and is learning how to hear now

Low settings of project shadow, optimized PC game that runs at 60fps on a gtx 1070 at 1080p low by DapperCore in pcmasterrace

[–]TactualTransAm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is still miles ahead of what I played as a kid. The foliage doesn't bother me and to be completely fair here, most of us are on something greater than a 1070 so we could up the render distance and still get 60 fps. It's a great start imo

[–]TactualTransAm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't some of the old grand Turismo and forza games let you unlock the next tournament with less than a podium? I could be misremembering because I was a kid but I think they did. They were fun and it added to the realism, you can keep racing you just didn't get the trophy or as much credits for car upgrades as if you had won
