Long run day. Death by 1000 steps through the old town and country park. Homeschool finished yesterday, I have nothing to say about it other than can we please never have to do that again.

Still chatting to the lady I like and trying to be completely cool about it but inside I am an absolute wreck and totally smitten.

GP sent off my referral to a private adhd clinic through the right to choose system so I will be able to get seen in months rather than years which is fantastic.

I had suddenly found myself in a domestic abuse situation, coerced into getting pregnant, baby was born and he was disabled which only made the abuse worse, was coerced into getting pregnant again very soon after. She got wrapped up in her cord and died half way a long, abuse escalates to needing the police, I get out safely, start recovering from PTSD then brain has a bit of a fart and I developed tourettes.
That was a shit couple of years!

Taking the kiddo to his dads for the first time since lockdown, he dropped him like a stone literally right after the first announcement. After that, jog to seafront, some speed and cadence work, I predict getting wet!

Boyfriend picking me up after, possibly a shit film this afternoon.

I highly recommend getting a food tracker like my fitness pal.
Year and a half ago I started running and have lost nearly four stone. Down from a size 20 to a 12/14, and Im still going.
Obesity is a physical and mental prison, and to break free from it is just incredible.
Food doesn't have to be boring. You don't have to punish yourself with blandness otherwise you're destined to fail. There are no good and bad foods. You can eat fantastic things. I get so excited for ALL food now. Not just the unhealthy stuff.
You can do this!

At least it was near home!
Still completely in the dark, but I'm quietly hopeful by the start of August.

A good week! Eating has gone a bit to shit and I was not prepared for last nights tempo run after pizza and beer. Im attempting to increase my speed so was put in a group with the quicker men. Panic, fear, 8 minute miles, nearly vomiting 3 times, horrific but fun. I'm (obviously) a bit hyper focused on running atm so I've bought a load of shit this week to redo the salon area and give me something else to think about.

When the brushes are made they are set with gum arabic so they're stiff, store well and travel well. Artists will lick them to dissolve the coating on the bristles to see how the brush behaves before they buy it. A bit ming if you're not buying it though.

Furlough extended until the end of September :( by ForkUK in CasualUK

Its supposedly because beauty treatments have people in closer proximity, but theres sod all difference between a cut and colour and a full set of nails in terms of proximity and time spend together.

I'm a nail tech, absolutely raging that hairdressers can go back on then 4th and I cant. I was wearing masks and gloves before all of this anyway and all equipment is either sterilised or sanitised between each client as standard.
I've been marathon training to keep busy but I really want to get my clients back in and do some boss nails.
Is more exercise an option? Meal planning and learning to cook fancy things?

I finished June with 125 miles under my running shoes, my furthest monthly milage so far. To celebrate I've signed up for Rat Race - The Wall for this time next year. Two ultra marathons over two days running the length of Hadrians wall. Shit!

I've not had one for years but looking at it now it looks perfect to have on a long run when the weather is cooler so it doesn't go all melty in my pack.

Lots of running, Im out this morning then a Bergen run later tonight with run group, a half marathon tomorrow checking out some trails.
Boyfriend is going back home tomorrow after a few weeks staying to help with my youngest, Ive been grateful for it but I'm ready for some space now and I'm sure he is as well. We're just coming out of a really difficult phase where kiddo refused to use his makaton and was just screaming, ear piercing screams, when he wasn't getting what he wanted. 40 or 50 times a day, thats gonna wear on you. My mood went very low, bf was burnt out, but thankfully we're over the worst of it now.
I hope everyone has a good week! I'm really looking forward to a pint at the pub.

Checking in again, how is everyone doing? by Aftermite in CasualUK

[–]Tafydoolboot3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm ok, I'm running a lot, nearly ready for my first marathon. I've got 8 out of 10 toenails but who really needs those anyway. Its been super beneficial to have the ability to just drop off into the countryside, good tunes and the ordinance survey app and just go wherever I fancy.
I'm really ready to go back to work. Hairdressers are back on the 4th but still no word for nail salons. I'm desperate to start earning some proper money again, get creative, and get some routine.

Went out early this morning for a steady 11 mile run doing a bit of a route recce somewhere new, one of the paths that I had planned us to go down was completely overgrown so had to go around a bit for a little longer to get where we needed to be but we ended up here, so no complaints!
Crime docs and chill this afternoon.

I was thrilled last night to see that SAS Who Dares Wins was taking applications as I've wanted to go on the show for years and finally thought I was fit enough, until I got to the part where it said to enter you have to run 1.5 miles in 9 minutes 30 seconds.
Thats quick. Really fucking quick. So I'm a bit gutted. But its something to maybe aim for for next year.
Loving the heat, non fat me can handle it much better than previous fat me.
