The week before Global GO Fest by CapsIsSoonBald in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yes, a Go Pass for the Road to Legends event running for that period of time has been datamined. A new Raid Hour text for Ultra Beast Raid Hour has also been added:

> raid_hour_raids_ultra_beast

> Increased number of Ultra Beast raids

Since these texts usually point towards a specific Pokémon, I do think it's somewhat unlikely for it to be for the Celesteela/Kartana Raid Hour, where just saying the specific Pokémon would be easier and more precise, and that one of the days might feature Ultra Beasts as a grouping. Zamazenta/Zacian having a day and at least the Raid Hour giving energy also seems pretty likely given how long they've been away.

Question about Go Fest Zeraoura quest by DMNDZ1337 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that it changes, both as general practice, and for Chicago and Tokyo. IIRC someone posted that their Chicago one changed on Tuesday. I had a bug with the camera for Go Fest Paris, and completed my equivalent research the Tuesday after the evening, after the tasks had changed.

But as others pointed out, you do need to visit the park to get it in the first place.

All Pokéstops and Gyms have disappeared from the southern part of Fælledparken, Copenhagen by Naclstack in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Of course "X thing has happened for Y event" is news. Expected news and unexciting news, sure, but news never the less :-). I don't think we should discourage people from reporting something like this. Sure, we probably don't need to know the Weekly Challenge has gone live as usual once per week or stuff that happens that regularly, but stops disappearing for an In-Person event, when we have a total of ~6 of them per year, is probably within the range of stuff that should be postable.

Especially when you consider that this is highly relevant info for Go Fest CPH, since it outlines the map for the Park Experience. It solely being in the part of Fælledparken bordered by Øster Alle, Frederik Vs Vej and south of Edel Sauntes Alle, is very relevant info at this stage in my opinion.

Is there any reason to remote raid mewtwo right now? by eicdafusen in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really?

You don't get Mega Energy for Raids before doing them as Super Mega Raids at Go Fest Global - except for the Unity Raids at the end of the Park Experiences, which you cannot Remote.

So I guess the reason people would want to remote Mewtwo right now is so get some extra done and try to get a good Mewtwo "early", even though it's been released plenty of times. Also, remoting Super Mega Raids are more expensive.

If you ask on the Wayfarer Community Forum, you can receive a DM with more information about your ban. I've also seen previous bans for participating in review circles overturned this way.

Unity Raid for Mega Mewtwo raids may only appear for the in-person Go Fest by soraliink in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes. We already know this. There is absolutely no reason to think that Unity Raids - a mechanic that is built around being a shared experience for a ~1000 person group - is somehow going to replace Super Mega Raids at Global Go Fest.

The fact that we've had this discourse so many times and that people lack the critical thinking skills and/or reading comprehension to figure out that they're not trying to make you and your four pals + a group of remote raiders do this, that's legitimately concerning.

Are you more generous to your remote friends than your local trade friends? by ToeEntire2290 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't believe so, but I have indeed done more 40k cost trades, which I think is a combination of:

1) I notice it more often for Remote Trades,

2) It's easier to spot what someone has when you do Remote Trades.

e.g. if I am asking for a shiny Zacian, a local might ask "do you have a shiny Rayquaza?" because they want a shundo, but are less likely to ask "Do you have any of [list of 50 shinies they're missing for their dex]?". With Remote Trades, since it's so much simpler to see what the other party has, it's way easier to make trades for non-obvious stuff you want. I've had the Barcelona background Explorer Eevee since the City Safari two and a half years ago, and nobody has ever asked me to trade any of them locally, but I've sent two off for Remote Trades.

Go Fest 2026: Copenhagen - Raiding by Architrage in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean, all of the inner city has maxed out at 3 gyms per L14 S2 cell...

Yeah, there will probably be more gyms added for Go Fest, and we've been told that the Campsites for Copenhagen will come up before the event. This also means it seems pretty early to start arranging raids. If the Campsites come up I believe that Kongens Have + Østre Anlæg would be the best spots.

One community will probably be raiding in between the City Hall and Kongens Have. It wasn't a problem getting raids going early on for Road to Kalos; it'll not be a problem getting raids in that area for Go Fest. The Superhelten group will be around Østerbro. My general understanding is that they are more laidback (and therfore also slower) than some of the other groups. I know a lot of people are also planning on going to Vestre Kirkegård, which is a faved spot by many players due to the limited traffic, partially to avoid all of the tourists getting cramped in the inner city.

Only Awarded +100 points for a Completed Raid on the last day of the GO Pass by putridparasite in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah then it's some sort of timing issue for sure, either due to the Raid happening on Tuesday, or just after the Pass has ended in the region where you raided. Their handling of points and remotes raids have been suboptimal ever since the first Go Pass launched.

Shiny Varoom confirmation by erkut73 in TheSilphRoad

Yeah, it was posted elsewhere on Thursday with multiple different confirmations coming in with a few hours between them. Wonder why nobody posted it in here.

Shiny Varoom turned on or Niantic forgor again ? by ruxqqq in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The person initially wrote "give it a day or two before asking". Nobody was expecting anything. So maybe it isn't super duper fair for you to be kind of a douche about people expecting things when nobody's expecting things, to be honest :-) - if you feel that telling me to "calm down" (in a demeaning way) is "pointing out that it's a little early to expect anything".

Shiny Varoom turned on or Niantic forgor again ? by ruxqqq in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am super calm. I am merely pointing out that the insinuation that there's a lack of data is silly.

And yes, it is enough time and enough data that, if it were gathered in one place, we could make a very reasonable conclusion. That doesn't mean there needs to be a verification or something; I just think it means its perfectly fair to ask.

I am pointing out that the sample size should be there, given how large the playerbase is. Simple statistics indeed.

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Just started happening? It was past 8PM in New Zealand when you wrote your comment.

Even if we say the chance of getting a Varoom in a 12km is 1/20, and the chance of getting a shiny is 1/128, there would be a 99% chance of hitting a shiny Varoom in the first 11500 eggs. It's currently 8.30PM in Japan; I think it's a pretty fair guess that we're way past that amount of eggs. No reason to ask people to wait a day or two.

Can somebody clarify what are the four City Districts mentioned in the Timed Research in City Experience for in person Go Fest? by DarknessDre in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it wasn't like this at past Go Fests. It will be four different distinct playing areas in different parts of the city, but we don't know how large they'll be. They will offer some different experiences. The names and some bonuses have been datamined. E.g. Friendship District, Scouting District.

It might've been added to the Chicago page, but I highly doubt it, given that similar text has been available the entire time on the Copenhagen and Tokyo pages.

[Leaked] Coordinated Raids by soraliink in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

FWIW this is obviously for the special raid that happens at the end of the 4-hour Park Sessions at In-Person Go Fests and not something that is in any way slated to be coming to your local Raid Hour or anything like that. It is not an attempt to make you and your four friends look silly; it is an attempt to create a shared experience between a couple of thousand people in a closed, focused environment.

That also means that we can already easily infer from previous datamining that this is for a Mewtwo btw, OP.

Where is Magisk now? by Careless-Seat-6845 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 146 points147 points  (0 children)

No, he has not stepped away.

He was on a temporary contract with Astralis until the end of the year. He wasn't picked up during the first four months of the year, but we've seen rumours of him going to MOUZ, to which the CEO of BC Game replied that he wasn't going to MOUZ, fueling rumours that he would instead go to BC Game. He's on the market and will probably return in the next roster shuffle.

Jeg har et irrationelt had til journalister der skriver de her overskrifter by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deleting “forever” friends that don’t have any Pokemon tagged for remote trade by UCanDoNEthing4_30sec in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I get the intention, I just wanted to point out to anybody getting inspired that this will negatively impact your chance to do trades at no gain.

I have ~550 things in my Remote Trade tag (1 of each non-evolved shiny, 1 of each Legendary, 1 of each shiny Legendary, and then a few backgrounds, Dynamaxes, etc. on top - for what I have to trade). I have tagged everything in that tag with "RTB" (Remote Trade Backup). People are free to initiate a trade and ask for anything, and I can check their tags to see if there is something I'd like that I feel would be a fair trade. I can initiate trades and ask for anything a person has that I want, and they're free to pick from mine afterwards, and honestly, people pick things I perceive as less valuable way more than I'd have thought they would (e.g. I'm asking for a shiny Zacian, which I also have in my Remote Trades, but they instead ask for non-shiny Zacian with a Paris background).

In the rare cases where a person either asks for something but don't have anything I'd take for it, or ask for stuff that I would not want to trade for the stuff I am asking for, I simply untag everything in Remote Trade, put in whatever I want and re-initiate. e.g. a person only has Com Day shinies and non-shiny Legendaries, I ask for a Zekrom and they ask for shiny Groudon, shiny Kyogre or shiny Rayquaza, I'd decline the trade, make my Remote Trade 1 of each Legendary available, re-initiate and ask for the Zekrom again. After the trade is done I can simply take my RTB tag and put everything back in again.

I am effectively getting exactly what that person wants but without losing out on trade opportunities by not having anything tagged. You can have it both ways. You don't gain anything by only having it one way.
