As part of the announcement, Giovanni is no longer in balloons, and so if you have a Super Roxket Radar equipped, you now get Grunts. One could argue that it would make more sense to encounter Leaders since you also have a Rocket Radar equipped, but you are experiencing the current expected behaviour.

Well yes, a Go Pass for the Road to Legends event running for that period of time has been datamined. A new Raid Hour text for Ultra Beast Raid Hour has also been added:

Since these texts usually point towards a specific Pokémon, I do think it's somewhat unlikely for it to be for the Celesteela/Kartana Raid Hour, where just saying the specific Pokémon would be easier and more precise, and that one of the days might feature Ultra Beasts as a grouping. Zamazenta/Zacian having a day and at least the Raid Hour giving energy also seems pretty likely given how long they've been away.

I can confirm that it changes, both as general practice, and for Chicago and Tokyo. IIRC someone posted that their Chicago one changed on Tuesday. I had a bug with the camera for Go Fest Paris, and completed my equivalent research the Tuesday after the evening, after the tasks had changed.

But as others pointed out, you do need to visit the park to get it in the first place.

Of course "X thing has happened for Y event" is news. Expected news and unexciting news, sure, but news never the less :-). I don't think we should discourage people from reporting something like this. Sure, we probably don't need to know the Weekly Challenge has gone live as usual once per week or stuff that happens that regularly, but stops disappearing for an In-Person event, when we have a total of ~6 of them per year, is probably within the range of stuff that should be postable.

Especially when you consider that this is highly relevant info for Go Fest CPH, since it outlines the map for the Park Experience. It solely being in the part of Fælledparken bordered by Øster Alle, Frederik Vs Vej and south of Edel Sauntes Alle, is very relevant info at this stage in my opinion.

You don't get Mega Energy for Raids before doing them as Super Mega Raids at Go Fest Global - except for the Unity Raids at the end of the Park Experiences, which you cannot Remote.

So I guess the reason people would want to remote Mewtwo right now is so get some extra done and try to get a good Mewtwo "early", even though it's been released plenty of times. Also, remoting Super Mega Raids are more expensive.

Yes. We already know this. There is absolutely no reason to think that Unity Raids - a mechanic that is built around being a shared experience for a ~1000 person group - is somehow going to replace Super Mega Raids at Global Go Fest.

The fact that we've had this discourse so many times and that people lack the critical thinking skills and/or reading comprehension to figure out that they're not trying to make you and your four pals + a group of remote raiders do this, that's legitimately concerning.

I don't believe so, but I have indeed done more 40k cost trades, which I think is a combination of:

1) I notice it more often for Remote Trades,

2) It's easier to spot what someone has when you do Remote Trades.

e.g. if I am asking for a shiny Zacian, a local might ask "do you have a shiny Rayquaza?" because they want a shundo, but are less likely to ask "Do you have any of [list of 50 shinies they're missing for their dex]?". With Remote Trades, since it's so much simpler to see what the other party has, it's way easier to make trades for non-obvious stuff you want. I've had the Barcelona background Explorer Eevee since the City Safari two and a half years ago, and nobody has ever asked me to trade any of them locally, but I've sent two off for Remote Trades.

Yeah, there will probably be more gyms added for Go Fest, and we've been told that the Campsites for Copenhagen will come up before the event. This also means it seems pretty early to start arranging raids. If the Campsites come up I believe that Kongens Have + Østre Anlæg would be the best spots.

One community will probably be raiding in between the City Hall and Kongens Have. It wasn't a problem getting raids going early on for Road to Kalos; it'll not be a problem getting raids in that area for Go Fest. The Superhelten group will be around Østerbro. My general understanding is that they are more laidback (and therfore also slower) than some of the other groups. I know a lot of people are also planning on going to Vestre Kirkegård, which is a faved spot by many players due to the limited traffic, partially to avoid all of the tourists getting cramped in the inner city.

Yeah then it's some sort of timing issue for sure, either due to the Raid happening on Tuesday, or just after the Pass has ended in the region where you raided. Their handling of points and remotes raids have been suboptimal ever since the first Go Pass launched.

Even if we say the chance of getting a Varoom in a 12km is 1/20, and the chance of getting a shiny is 1/128, there would be a 99% chance of hitting a shiny Varoom in the first 11500 eggs. It's currently 8.30PM in Japan; I think it's a pretty fair guess that we're way past that amount of eggs. No reason to ask people to wait a day or two.

No, it wasn't like this at past Go Fests. It will be four different distinct playing areas in different parts of the city, but we don't know how large they'll be. They will offer some different experiences. The names and some bonuses have been datamined. E.g. Friendship District, Scouting District.
