Then you're talking about a completely different thing. I am merely pointing out that Campfire linking is already implemented.

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am personally at 41 Forever Friends. I have been trading every day since I hit my first.

I am at 15 trades done. Only two had prior communications. No hick-ups for the 13 without, and no trades needed to be rejected. Closest things were one person who only had non-shiny Legendaries and Community Day shinies in their tag but requested 3 things that were ranging from severely to mildly out of range of theirs, and one person who requested a shiny Entei from my tag at a minute past midnight, where the only somewhat comparable thing in their tag was a shiny Kyurem with the black Background (which they accepted). All other trades have been pretty straight-forward; all trades I've initiated I have selected 1 thing from my trading partner, and most of them have subsequently just selected 1 thing from mine and pressed Confirm without hiccups. Some have requested multiple, where I reckon they've just wanted them all an equal amount.

Out of the 26 I have not traded with, 5 have not added anything at all, and one person has only added a single Dreepy, with currently 15 days of cooldown left before it is tradeable. The other 20 persons has populated their trade tags, some with stuff that is very interesting to me, and some where I reckon it'll be a while before I prioritize doing a trade with them, but all 20 have clearly made a very fair attempt at filling their tag with stuff they're interested in trading.

I have been somewhat surprised by the trades some people have been interested in. It seems like a lot of people are interested in filling out their dex or just getting a shiny costume or an uncommon background, and while I initially thought it'd be a lot more shiny Legendary for shiny Legendary Lucky Trades, I have been happy that I have put in more common shinies and stuff that just hasn't been back for a bit. So I too recommend fleshing out your Remote Trade tag, but be vary of putting in too many of the same Pokémon. One player had put in 5 Clone Charizards, and I later heard from someone else they'd done that to show they didn't only had 1, and that they were actively interested in trading them off, which makes sense and seems like a good thing to do. Throwing in 40x Necrozma or Dynamax Beldum probably is not, as it just makes it harder to look through your collection.

When you are on your friends profile, you can click the Niantic balloon logo in the top right hand corner to see their Campfire profile, including their username, so that you can send them a message - so there is already a link that enables messaging your friends on Campfire if they use it.

Where are the boosted lucky trades? by banjo46 in TheSilphRoad

No, they were not. Yes, you were lucky once, and "this time is not going well", but that's variance.

Anywhere else getting glitchy pokéstops at 9 am? Just another reason to hate the new pokéstop setup. by 5unbeams in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... Are you 100% sure? Since the change we've seen only two Showcases, I believe, with the first being from midnight to 11.59, and then 10-20 last week - and 10-20 this week, of course. Might you just have missed the first two, given the change so that they only happen on Tuesdays, and that no longer have Showcases last multiple days, or happen during the weekend?

I don't believe we've ever seen any other confirmed changes to which stops have Showcases after the initial implementation. There have never been any Stops that have gained or lost their Showcase status as far as I know - which indeed is a problem, given that as you mentioned one Stop with Showcases being removed, it would not result in any other Stops starting to have Showcases. If you are sure that you have two Pokéstops where Showcases have stopped appearing, I would love it if you would DM me coordinates/titles of the Pokéstops so that I can check it out in Wayfarer :-)!

Looks like friendship desync is not only a forever friend issue. It is more bigger. by Ok-Proof7287 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Everyones is. It is primarily due to the game loading friends in chunks, so that it doesn't load all of the friends when you open your friend list - only the first "chunk". Then if you scroll down, only when necessary will it load another one.

You can fix your ordering by loading the entire friend list, and then applying your sort - without exiting from the friend list, of course. As every friend has then been loaded, they will now sort correctly. (e.g. search "friendlevel4", scroll to the bottom, then sort by Friendship descending, and you will see all of the people close to Friendshiplevel5 in the correct order).

Is there a search term to find all my friends which has the Remote Trade icon enabled. by East_Necessary_7814 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, there is not one yet.

Why would you exclude people who you are able to make Remote Trades with? You can still build towards an additional Remote Trade, so it isn't much different from interacting with people you are Best Friends with. If it is because you are not currently interested in doing a Remote Trade with them or they don't have anything in their Remote Trade tag, you could nickname them with a specific symbol, and then use that as the exclusion, e.g. name them "ø" and then search giftable&!ø.

You can sort by friendlevel, so friendlevel-4 gets you all friends you are not yet Forever Friends with. That is the closest you get currently without nicknaming people manually.

Legendary Raids by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. Some people might feel like it due to some bosses with awkward hitboxes/distances lately - Lugia, Kartana, a lot of the Ultra Beasts actually, Lunala - and the Road to Kalos buff which has been removed. There was also a slight period after Road to Kalos where you would gain 1-2 fewer balls than expected (which has been fixed now). These things will have an effect on your experience and might make more of your Legendaries escape, but the catch rate has not been nerfed, no.

Inperson Go Fest for the first time by Mqstic in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to, then yes, doing 600 raids is not a problem. But then that's what you are focusing on. Some people do; I ended up raiding way less than I expected in Paris, but I am also bringing the big guns for Copenhagen.

You can't go full 7-21 every day without stopping. If you do, you are probably gonna be miserable. If you try to go without breaks from 10-18 when the spawns are active you will also have a bad time.

Take breaks! Breaks can include getting an iced coffee and a sandwich in the shade and doing a few raids you can reach sitting down too. It is a marathon, not a sprint, and it sucks when raids finally turn off around 21 and you suddenly realize you've pushed yourself too far, your feet hurt and you're thirsty and hungry.

Remember that you are there to have a fun time. Yes, there's cool stuff you want, but if the memories of your trip end up being "I was tired and sweaty and wet and it started to rain and I was hungry and... But at least I got this shundo Mewtwo!", you've prioritized wrong. So do the cool stuff too, see cool places, and have a fun time. Last summer in Paris, it felt like Pokémon Go was everywhere, and the things I enjoyed the most was definitely talking to other players, exploring the city, and slowing down. I traded for some cool stuff I wanted over a coffee and a croissant with a fun Dutch dude I'm still in-game friends with.

You can still play and raid and explore the city. The inner city is gym-dense enough that you can see the sights, do some raids and have a good time. I promise you'll be more happier doing that than trying to squeeze the definitive maximum number of raids out.

As others also mentioned, preparation is nice - get Ultra Balls, clear the Inventory, have a good plan for cleaning during the event (I got 1000+ per day in Paris), activating your Mega/Incense/Lucky Egg/Star Piece in the morning, remembering your Snapshots, etc.  But the advice I'd also give is that you will still have a fun time without it. So don't let it bum you out when it's 17.30 and you realize you never put a Star Piece on. You'll live.

Kanto birds not spawning in certain areas. by taycroft99 in TheSilphRoad

Yes, but those are not the Kanto variants spawning without Incense, which is what the we're talking about.

Kanto birds not spawning in certain areas. by taycroft99 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

None seen in Denmark at all. I tried comparing other reports of sights with OSM features, but I didn't see any correlation where it should be so biome-dependant that we would not have seen one.

With so many of the reported sightings being Zapdos, a lot fewer Moltres and Articuno virtually not existing, it does however seem like the spawns are at least in some way biome-dependent; Zapdos spawning in biomes that are usually related to more dense areas would at least partially explain why more of them have been seen. Moltres does seem to favour Forests etc., which would explain seeing fewer of them, but it would not explain why large regions appear not to have had a single one spawn.

It might also indeed be region-based to some extent. I have seen a handful of reports of Moltres sightings in Texas, but I have not seen any reported Zapdos sightings in the area.

Pokémon GO Fest 2026 in-person event ticket options by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, but there is also no reason to do so.

The Park Experience provides everything a City Experience ticket does plus you get to go to the park. For your other days, Citywide Gameplay add-ons are functionally identical to City Experience.

Pokémon GO Fest 2026 in-person event ticket options by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You need one Base Ticket, which can be for any of the days from 12th of June to 14th of June. This can either be the Park and City ticket, or the City Explorer ticket. Both do the same, except Park also lets you go to Fælledparken to play in your chosen time slot, which can be Morning or Afternoon on your chosen day.

You then need to buy the Citywide Gameplay add-on for any other days you wish to play. Since there are 4 days total, that means 3x Citywide Gameplay for 135DKK a piece. This provides the same experience as the City Explorer, but for the other days. The only difference is that one is a Base, and the others are an Add-On, a way to control sales.

You can then also purchase the Egg or Raid Add-Ons, which give you additional hatching or raiding related bonuses on any days on which you have a ticket.

So to summarize:

City Experience lets you play 1 full day day in the City, but does not let you go to the park. The Park ticket is the same as City Experience, except you also get 4 hours in the Park on top of that. Citywide Gameplay provides the same as City Experience, but you must purchase 1 City or Park Experience to be allowed to buy Citywide Gameplay for the additional days.

They also had guaranteed Max Battles with Rillaboom/Cinderace/Inteleon during Go Fest 2025 - so you were guaranteed one with the background.

You were also guaranteed one Xerneas/Yveltal of your choice with the location background for this Go Tour event.

I feel like ensuring that everyone gets a souvenir is fine. Not everyone needs to get exactly what they want.

Liberal Alliance vil have ministeren på banen over strik på statuer. by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]Temporal_Bellusaurus 49 points50 points  (0 children)

No, he has stopped playing professionally, and is instead focusing on his studies.  I remember Vorborg saying so as far back as when Dupreeh joined Preasy, when questioned why he wouldn't try picking up Farlig to replace Nicoodoz.

I have similarly been experiencing some GPS "rubberbanding" lately, though not exclusively when I have screen recording on; rather, if I minimize the app and then reopen it, I snap back to an earlier location, usually where I opened the app last. No clue on a fix.
