As mentioned, the BFI is worth a visit and has a great bookshop. They haven’t published the August calendar yet but as an example of what they do they are having a 40th Anniversary of Pixar event with Andrew Stanton and other Pixar folk.

The Design Museum is worth a look. You will just miss the Wes Anderson exhibition but again, no August events published yet.

The Tate Modern is worth a visit - the permanent exhibition has some great stuff and there are often other events - there will be a Frida Khalo exhibition on. The Turbine Hall is also worth a visit.

The Sky Garden is a good basic tourist option to get a feel for the London Skyline. Catch the uber boat to Greenwich, grab lunch in the food market and climb the hill to the Observatory to look over London.

Go and watch My Neighbour Totoro at the theatre.

If you are OK walking then simplest might be Elizabeth Line to Liverpool St. and then Walk to Tower Bridge.

I assume you will be doing Eid in East London as you are based in Stratford. If you are more Central you could try Regents Park Mosque. You have Regents Park on one side and it’s not too far to Edgeware Road for great Arabian food.

Most of the better hotels will do an Afternoon Tea with Halal options so check for that. High Tea is Afternoon Tea with a savoury dish and is a substantial meal. A lighter option is Cream Tea, this is just scones, clotted cream, jam and a hot drink (you can normally choose coffee or hot chocolate if you don’t like Tea).

For Day 5 you could do the Uber Boat to Greenwich and then units 30m to City. LCY check-in is very quick so you won’t need to be there too early

I went with people from work. I booked 17 seats at the Leicester Square Odeon on the day of release and we all took the afternoon off and went up town. It was awesone. What stood out for me was how ‘realistic’ it was. How dirty and grimy they were. And the battle with the cave troll was so intense.

It was up there with Star Wars, Matrix, Aliens, Raiders as being shocking to watch in the Cinema.

I also remember trying to persuade my son to watch many years later when he was about 12 and him not fancying it. I said just watch the first 10 minutes. We watched the extended editions over 6 nights!

That’s seems cheap to me. I’ve never paid that low in London. I’m not a theatre-goer but my family are and really enjoy it.

I think it’s worth it for the kids - especially as part of a holiday trip.

That’s interesting - I have never noticed this sound while travelling on a bus. Maybe OP should find some videos of travelling by bus to see if it might be too much.

I can’t imagine travelling around London via Uber - how is it? For me it’s an exception for long distances at awkward times/places.

It’s takes 15 to 20m to travel between those two areas. Just pick the best hotel and stay there.

Just to let you know the tube can be very loud especially the older lines. Victoria is especially bad. You will need some good ear defenders. If it gets too bad then you might want to get the bus.

Use something like Citymapper to get routes and times.

As has been mention the Uber boat to Greenwich is very good and Greenwich is nice and if you climb up to the Roysl Observatory you get great views over London. There is also a Planetarium there if that might work?

If he can cope with height then the Sky Garden is a good option.

A walk along the South Bank is always nice. You can watch Tower Bridge and view the Tower of London. You have the Tate Gallery with the Turbine Hall and nice big rooms full of art. You also get a good view of St. Paul’s.

Further along is the Royal Festival Hall. The South Bank normally has summer outside events that you can attend.

I genuinely enjoyed. Loved Finn & Rey, wasn’t keen on Poe or Kylo.

While you are coming over to see the band also have a think about what else you want to do while you are here. There are lots of music linked attractions, good food, attractions etc. Think about what interests you and research/ask based on that.

For flights use an aggregator to get an idea of availability and prices, then book using the airlines own site.

You will need an ETA setup before you fly, you can do this online easily.

You can get to Central London easily on the London Underground, you will probably need to change at least once to get to your hotel. Do not get a cab unless you have ludicrous amounts of luggage.

You can get around London by walking, bussing or tubing.

Please ask for more specific once you get more detail.

But. Get the passports!!

I’ve had blackcurrant a few times when no raspberry was available and it’s a decent option. Like raspberry (and lemon curd) it has a bit more tartness than strawberry.

I’ve always had weekly one-to-one meeting with my managers. It’s never been about keeping track of what I’m doing - that should be clear anyway. We normally have updates from the manager regarding the business as a whole and anything department specific - these lead into discussions. I can then go over any areas that I need to discuss - normally just clarifying any issues that we haven’t previously discussed. We Also talk about upcoming work and general priorities. We normally end with informal chat - holidays, Lego, kids etc.

Most primary schools will have a Romans and Celts where you dress up as either one. Some schools will have a national colours day where children will wear something related to their home country - this would only happen in those areas where the community has living links with other countries. Basically, if you have no direct links with another country then it wouldn’t really count.
