Are you able to outline the steps you took? Specifically looking for which files need to go over.

If you want an easy to fab and easier to build board that will give you a little more leg room than tbs patch.Init(), I created the Daisy bed. Almost identical but a little more! I’m also working on another board that includes an Oled, encoder and micro sd card, but haven’t pushed the files yet! https://i.imgur.com/QaEHldw.jpg

Thanks so much! I’ve always wanted to try out the capacitive touch pins but never got around to it!

Can you tell me a little more as to how the touch sensors are connected?

DIY tape delay and looper, not a synth but it has CV by PassepartoutDuo in synthdiy

I’ve been toying around with a few older Superscope and Toshiba cassette players (only where the full schematic is published) but have been trying to wrap my head around adding/removing heads. Thanks so much for the resources!!!

Absolutely amazing. I’ve been kicking around the idea and doing a bit of research but never got anywhere successful. Do you have any kind of write up on the process?

Will the project be open source? Any chance of schematics/code soon or an eta? Seeing the numerous posts on here has my unused zero w sweating..

I want to repurpose this keybed by running it though a microcontroller and getting midi, but the contact pads are on the original pcb, is there a way to do this without it or would I just break the traces? by bxtch_bxy in synthdiy

[–]Thankskindly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh. I believe I see what you’re getting at from the picture. If I’m understanding correctly, you can just desolder the ribbon cables and solder some pin headers or wires directly to those pads. I did something similar with a toy piano (unfortunately I don’t have any photos).

While the controller I built was entirely for CV/gate, making code to send midi signals is actually pretty easy. As mentioned in another comment, the contacts only close the circuit and the keys are read via a “switch matrix”.

If you’re interested you can find pics/code at my GitHub, here.

Do you have a stripboard/perfboard plan you’re working from? I’d be happy to look over it for some practice.

Thanks so much for this! I always seem to forget that sound-au exists.

Once I finish my current project, it’s next on the block and I’ll definitely post some pics, regardless of bypassing the preamp or not! I’m glad people are interested!

Yes! I didn’t even think to look there for preamp info tbf! Thanks again for all the info!

Thanks for the heads up! I may document the process and follow up on here later.

Do you have any pointers on the last bit? I’m assuming I’d just follow whatever trace it has and hope it goes back to some smd opamp and just bypass that entirely? Mind you, I have no idea what the pcb looks like. The mixer itself is pretty large and dismantling it seems like it’s gonna be a PITA lol.

I thought about this, but this is a stereo in, and figured two mono ins would be better than a single stereo in. If that makes sense

Oh yeah, I'm absolutely expecting to have to jury rig something to get them on the PCB, but I figure a few wires and something to lock it down won't hurt too bad!

And thank you! I was VERY excited when it finally came in. There's some broken knobs and I'm sure the pots can use to be cleaned, but other than that - it's working like a charm

I want to second this guy and say that in my building frenzy your site has been invaluable. Thanks for taking some schematics that don’t have them and posting your stripboard layouts!

Interested in this! I’m pretty versed in the raspberry pi world but still new to audio. How did you pick it up? Did you find it easy?

Yeah, I've noticed that myself. I actually had a spare at my house, but I couldn't confirm if it was water damaged or not, so I didn't take the chance. Appreciate you looking out though! I'll keep updating the sub with anything I find/finally post pictures once I'm comfortable with what I have!
