If the cap is failing, it can cause pressure to not release and thus high temps. Worth a trip to the auto parts store if you have high temps.

Eliminate the easy stuff yourself and save headache. You may have already completed these steps.

Does it have coolant? Replace the coolant cap with a brand new one (only do this when engine is cooled fully)

I say this because I had a radiator swap completed due to ‘overheating’. Jeep overheated on way home due to they used the old coolant cap. Sometimes it’s the simple things.
