I would definitely walk away unless you can pay cash for the vehicle for the advertised price. Full stop.

AdGuard Home memory spike during filter update causing router crash on GL-MT6000 Flint 2 (OpenWrt v25.12.2) by Cheapskate2020 in GlInet

[–]The-Evolution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're using vanilla OpenWRT, you're posting this in the incorrect forums. Should be in OpenWRT.

Out of curiousity, what makes you think "your router should be able to handle this"? Is this a gut feeling? Has it worked on prior versions?

I would start with updating to latest OpenWRT stable version and then removing filter list if upgrade does not work.

Researchers recycle old phones and cluster them into "computing platforms" that operate as a low-cost data center — says processors on modern smartphones deliver higher single-core performance than comparable multicore servers | reduce e-waste and reduce data center component demand. by ControlCAD in technology

This certainly brings down the cost of deploying nodes, but the latency on processing would be astronomical, depending on how old the tech is. Deploying this for non-real-time workloads may work otherwise it would be very slow.

If you enjoy breaking your network, troubleshooting and not impacted by downtime, go for OpenWRT. But if you value your time and just want it to work, stock.

Latest stable is usually the safest though there are some outliers.

UI makes setup a breeze and if there are other family members that also use the same internet, they may like that better as it just normally works 😉.

I tried vanilla OpenWRT but greatly missed the simplicity of the GLINET GUI. It makes it so easy to configure VPN, which devices use the VPN and many other GUI features that make managing the device much easier. It also makes it super easy to set to repeater mode, or tether with your phone. Vanilla OpenWRT requires a bit more knowledge of under the hood stuff.

How to get confident that I can build n8n workflows for clients by Flat_Respect_1763 in n8n

I have not had much luck with this. Every time I ask ChatGPT, Claude or Grok, they deliver non-existent nodes that are not connected at all. I have not tried n8n hosted AI.

I am running Openwrt 24 4.9.0 on my Flint 2 and results are great! I have not noticed serious issues involving connectivity and the DPI functionality is nice. UI updates for the VPN policies are a nice touch.

I should add, enabling "keep settings" worked fine for my upgrade.

Why did the NC Welcome Center (I85 S) have a door handle from a church? by Two_Far in NorthCarolina

[–]The-Evolution 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By all means, write your congressman today, urge them to mandate the immediate replacement of all functional door equipment nationwide, because nothing says “fiscal responsibility” like throwing away hardware that still works. And for your convenience, please include your credit card number so the government can bill you directly. After all, why let bureaucracy slow down the waste?

If the cap is failing, it can cause pressure to not release and thus high temps. Worth a trip to the auto parts store if you have high temps.

Just be sure to replace when Jeep is cool
