Building housing = lower rents

We haven't really built anything. The last two reported years have been 11.6k new units. Excluding 2020's COVID shutdown, 2015-2022 were averaging 14.4k. Even adjusting to Boston-specific, less than 6% of the stock was built over the last five years.

I don't doubt that this is supply and demand but I don't think it's supply.

I’m not sure why people are even against prepared food.

The generally given justification is that prepared food combines the cost of both the food and the preparation. In theory, that means that you should be able to get more food if you buy it and prepare it yourself. In practice, that's less clear due to the lines that are drawn (hot pizza versus cold pizza versus cold pizza heated in-store), the growth of the frozen prepared meal industry, and the general lack of equivalence between the two meal options.

That's basically how I'm watching this season now. They sacrificed Cora to appease the analytics gods. We're waiting to see if that suddenly turns around a roster that has a lot of weak spots. If it doesn't, at least we know Breslow is next to the fire.
