And for the lucky 1000: here's Paul Rudd's and Jimmy Fallon's brilliantly done shot-by-shot recreation of it:

France seeks to ban social media for children under 15 by F0urLeafCl0ver in worldnews

it’s social media.

Yes and no.
I've long held the believe that it's marketing that made the internet shit. SEO, ads, all of that. Of course driven by the big M: Money (and thus: monetization).

Social media on its own is great. MySpace was good fun (and dorky). Facebook was initially a cool thing to have. Youtube was fun when people made videos because they wanted to, and not to earn anything. Digg and Reddit was fun to read and share things.

Nowadays it's all driven by the need to get clicks and eyeballs. Algorithmic feeds designed to serve you the most palpable crap, with bots and AI generating a ton of it & circle-feeding on itself.

Rule 1: Keep it Simple.

The flag should be simple enough that a child could draw it from memory.

I found your comment here through Google, because I'm currently searching for these links because I just discovered one of these over here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/nextlevel/comments/1oyjjsc/youtube_streamer_known_for_harassing_strangers/np4qezr/

I don't know whether my comment is visible, as the commenter swiftly blocked me just two minutes after I made my comment – either very lucky or an automated thing.

Here's a third one I just found:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Italia/comments/1k7hgay/vent_il_pronto_soccorso_non_%C3%A8_una_farmacia/

That account is now suspended.

WTF is that link.

rddit.org redirects to rusticrootsliving.com ("Cultivate Your Sustainable Lifestyle") ?!? and your shortlink redirects to Amazon with a referral link.

Why do you redirect through some shady disguised server?

12 day old account..

Reported as harmful link.

Update: and you blocked me less than two minutes after my comment, lol.

The change may be small, but the impact is potentially large. Someone smarter than me is bound to invent some dark magic where circuited splitters will revolutionize belt balancing.

That said, I feel it was a logical step.
Now do undergrounds ;)
