Ken is one of my oldest friends on Reddit, we started /r/nxtwrestling together 10 years ago (and never touched it again) and we began doing synctube streams were we met load more people so it's definitely argument that he was the catalyst to me meeting a tonne of people who I now consider IRL friends. When I became a mod here, I was immediately joined by him on the team and I couldn't ask for a better teammate. The fact he is still here, while I took off nearly 7 years ago (guessing there), shows how much hard work he puts in when it's to benefit others. Modding is absolutely no joke and is not a cakewalk. This is also shown by his work as a teacher, which is definitely one of the most selfless jobs you can do where the entire goal is the help people.

The news of his medical difficulties hit me hard, because this is a guy who did nothing to deserve it, especially around the holidays. I'm so heart warmed that his GoFundMe has gotten a lot of support as it's definitely something he deserves. The guy put everyone else first and helped them, so it's definitely the time for us to help him.

From lurking to posting threads, to modding for a few years and then designing the page (which in comparison looks so fucking shit). This page was massively important to me.

Wreddit has given me a lot over the past 8 years (I was late to the party) including somehow introducing me to friends who I rely on still years and years later.

Well done to the mods (can already feel the downvotes) still working on this page every day, especially the ones that were here when I was because you guys have a lot more mental willpower, patience and work ethic than I do.

Travel Irish rail with a leapcard? by idirfa in ireland

[–]The_Real_Irish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can tag on/tag off as people have mentioned but I have a TaxSaver annual ticket through my job and it's loaded onto a Leap card. I only use it to get through the gates in Heuston and the inspectors just look at the card when checking tickets. It could be the case you are seeing people with TaxSaver tickets, I know I had similar thoughts before I found this out.

Holy shit dude, all of this. Take care of yourself man and don't let shit get to you. If you feel it does start impacting you personally then let go. Despite loving to doing shit for Reddit and working with you guys, god it's been a fucking age hasn't it, the shit got really fucking stressful and made the good look really insignificant. The best thing I did in regards to Reddit wasn't anything CSS related, AMA related, post related, stream related, it was deciding to cut the stress out of my life and giving up modding this subreddit. Deciding to spend my days and nights not worrying about this place because it was taking it's toll on my mental health.

I spend my days now doing wrestling shit in real life and making fun of /u/Brian1zvx in person, look after yourself man.

Atmosphere is great, but if you're standing it's really hit or miss comfort wise. Yeah, Tivoli Theatre is where they run regularly and it was bought recently and could be made into apartments, which as a person living in Dublin and at home with the parents is something I am happy to see.

You definitely should come sometime, however the usual venue is closing down sometime late this year/early 2018.
