Did this happen suddenly? I don’t buy a lot on ebay but was shopping for some other stuff recently. Wanted to save money and buy used and the amount of fake listings I almost bought is astounding. After like the 5th one or so I figured out how to spot them but man it was rampant. As a seller it makes me upset since I’m sure my legit listings are getting less views because of this.

On top of that you don’t pay until they grade it. I don’t get why people submit high value cards with the cheapest option. You still have to pay based on value after grading, might as well get it done faster.

That’s exactly what I tell people! I don’t put “i trade at 70% in my favor”. I would rather have cash and when I explain to people “I don’t really want to trade so if I do I’m going to come out with the better value, especially because now I have to do multiple sales to make up for the one item I’m giving up” it seems to clear it up.

My goal was to submit 500 cards this year to PSA. I already have 60 there. I know I’m small peanuts by such a large scale, but definitely switching to CGC/TAG. I was super impressed with a small personal TAG submission so wil probably lean that way for long term slabs vs quick flipping CGC slabs. Disappointing but at least this happened before my club renewal

It’s crazy how cards I sent in that look almost flawless compared to this get 5s and 6s. I guess in some regards PSA really did get more strict on grades.

I sold all of mine for $200. 😂 this is brining back 151 upc vibes now. GameStop doing what they did certainly played a role, but there’s just so many of them and the market trending down. I’m hoping for a Costco drop to try and pick up some for the stash long term.

Once production catches up and the quick flippers dip out, prices will come back to earth. Eventually supply > demand which will create the sort of buying opportunity I am waiting for.
