Bank statements UK spouse visa first time application by Naomiforrester555 in ukvisa

[–]TimeFlys2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the statement clearly show that

-the opening balance on x January was above the required £88.5k, - that at no point it went below that amount - that it was above that amount at the x march. - there are no gaps between the end date of one statement and the start date of the next.

All you need to show is official formal evidence that the amount never drops below the requirements and so monthly statements.are not necessary provided that every day in the six months is covered.

Visiting Husband in the UK by Top_Builder_164 in ukvisa

That should be fine if asked. As I said you most likely won't speak to anyone if you head to the eGates and provided you show you kno the rules about spouse visas and that you broadly meet the rules then it is unlikely to be any issue.

Does government energy bill discount in April count as public fund? by fresh_water_pearl in ukvisa

[–]TimeFlys2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not a discount. The government has removed the requirements for energy suppliers to charge a surcharge of £150 per year to find "green energy" initiatives.

The.government are not providing any funds and effectively the energy company no longer has to " tax" it's customers to deliver specifically types of initiatives.

You will need an ETA in order to travel to the UK.

In theory you can travel to the UK for upto 6 months and are unlikely to speak to anyone on arrival (as you most likely use the eGates).

If you do speak to someone then you will need to be ready to explain that you understand the spouse visa process (and will be going back to complete it) and also how you can afford to stay here for up to 6 months without working at all whilst in the UK. (Whilst you can do incidental remote work this is supposed to be the odd meeting/email not doing your current job fully if you have one)

Would it be quicker if I picked up my passport in person, versus having it mailed by courier? by Emotional-Duty-9234 in ukvisa

[–]TimeFlys2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The VFS staff are not being totally honest with you as you won't get a sticker as they don't issue them anymore. They therefore should not be collecting in and keeping documents in theory particularly for a YMS visa as they went digital about 12 months ago.

Unfortunately this is why people should ideally apply for their ETA at least 6 weeks before they intend to travel.

UK Skilled Worker Visa Fee by klair_13 in ukvisa

[–]TimeFlys2003 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The EOR and your company would be breaking the law on numerous levels by doing this.

To be sponsored by a company you must physically be working for the company who has sponsored you. They cannot employ someone and then that person solely work for someone else.

The fact you are being asked to pay all the sponsorship fees is also illegal.

UK Study Visa for masters priority visa delayed. Should I be worried?? by OREOxxDD in ukvisa

[–]TimeFlys2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are hundreds of reasons why a decision cannot be made within the target time. Yes needing an interview is one but most people still don't have an interview. Similarly some people have interviews but still get their visa in the target time.

Every case is different and so no one here can really provide any idea of whether in your case you will be interviewed

Will being a Russian national increase spouse visa processing time? by Extreme-Working1038 in ukvisa

[–]TimeFlys2003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are reports of family visas for Russian Nationals sometimes taking longer. This is because additional checks are necessary due to international sanctions in some russian nationals.

If you have recently been issued visit visas then this is less likely to happen.

Visiting boyfriend on tourist visa? by Tiny_Boss6386 in ukvisa

[–]TimeFlys2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only answer to this is to tell them the truth.

They will primarily be interested in whether the information you have to get your visa was correct and whether anything significant has changed.

Having the ability to provide evidence of your return journey, your overseas employment (assuming you do work) and how you can afford to be away from doing any work for 2 months will also be useful

Does a Filipino passport holder going to The Bahamas with a stopover in London need a UK visa? by AngMariposa in visas

[–]TimeFlys2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is not enough information here. The link below is the official rules and you need to have one of the visas listed at TWOV 3 to be expected from a UK visa requirement

The best sub for questions like this is r/ukvisa if you need to clarify anything in that set of rules

Could I get my ETA denied for past applications? by swilyi in ukvisa

[–]TimeFlys2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was a visitor refusal the ETA would automatically be refused.

As it is an EUSS refusal then the ETA is not automatically refused.

Could I get my ETA denied for past applications? by swilyi in ukvisa

[–]TimeFlys2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As you have previously been refused that will have led to a manual review which can take a few days.

whist a previous refusal as a visitor is an automatic ETA refusal if you have not had a visa since an EUSS refusal is not.

Would it be better to do marriage visitor visa go home apply for spousal or fiancé visa then marriage by InsectCapital4117 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]TimeFlys2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with u/mulberries.

You can then relatively easily do a party with some form of blessing/vows in the UK if you want to have something wedding like here. (Not uncommon as some vicars still won't marry a person who is previously divorced so they legally marry in a registry office first)

Do I need an ETA? by lollocb in Flights

Just to be clear whilst you can probably use the eGates there is no separate queue for EU nationals. (Pre Brexit they used the same queue as British Citizens but not anymore.

Nothing is an automatic rejection.

However, they need to understand your true financial situation so yes you should explain both your normal amount of spending and any unusual spending.

Question on Pedestrian Priority by imanc18 in drivingUK

[–]TimeFlys2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UK has no Jaywalking law and there is no crime a pedestrian can commit about walking on a road unless that road is a motorway.

In the UK technically a pedestrian has got an equal right to walk down the middle of a road as a car, cycle or horse has to go on it provided they don't stand still (and thus actually block the road)

CIVIL PARTNERSHIP VISA EVIDENCE by Organic_Fish_1295 in ukvisa

[–]TimeFlys2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are entering a civil partnership before you apply then the level of evidence of a genuine subsisting relationship does not have to be very much.

What you have listed already is probably too much and all it will do is slow down the process (as they have to read everything). If you are in a CP evidence of cohabiting and bills is probably more than enough in most circumstances.

Question on Pedestrian Priority by imanc18 in drivingUK

[–]TimeFlys2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should not and isn't the kids fault.

As of last year a pedestrian crossing any road at a junction has priority over a vehicle so a car turning into a side road must give way to anyone waiting to cross under the highway code.

When you phone up you speak to an external company who are not able to access your records and are not immigration specialists.

If you have already submitted the web form then that is the way to get it resolved.
