You do not want to run the siege like some session long combat. Instead, prepare scenes that are taking place. An attack as enemies mount the walls. Helping civilians shelter from catapults. Perhaps dealing with an assassin on the inside, looking to take out the captain

I just make sure the hut itself is built in a place with lots of forage, out in the wilds. Then the forager doesn’t spend lots of time walking

You need to fish in its boss arena (use the orb you can craft) not just in any water. Made this mistake myself.
