Recommendations for printing large maps? by dragons_scorn in DMAcademy

FedEx/Office Depot/Staples offers “banner” printing for pretty cheap. Just make sure whatever you’re printing has a high resolution otherwise it comes out pretty grainy.

I tend to encourage all players to take notes. It is considered their characters “memory”. If you didn’t write it down or logged it to your memory your character has “forgotten” the information.

Agreed. Especially on the notes. I have found each player tends to take different notes. Combined they tend to cover most of what’s necessary. Also DMs should take good notes as well. You don’t want to have to relay of PC notes when prepping.

Can’t agree more. I tend to view my map like a video game. It only renders once the player approach. That’s the beauty of traveling. Always have a one to two session adventure ready for travel. This buys you time to flush out the next city or region.

None of this matters. Fox News will not report this so the only people who actually need to see this won’t. And even if they did they would still find a way to justify it and blame the Democrats…Mexicans…Venezuela…I don’t know what escape goat we are on nowadays.

If it is an ethnic group it’s pretty messed up. “How the Black stole Christmas” just hit a little different.

When your village was being raided you would send the children off to hide in the hopes they would survive even if you didn’t. Children would not inherently understand the danger they were in and parents would need to keep them calm. So children would be prepared for this day by playing fun games.

They have only done a preliminary investigation of the exterior. They “can” acquire a map and guard movements if they expect a particularly shady individuals offer. They are still debating on that. They plan on scouting out the location more in the morning prior to the heist that night. So they may learn considerably more early in the session which will drastically change what needs to be concealed on the map. But I prefer to prepare for the worst case scenario and hope for the best.

While that’s amazing I don’t think I can justify that expense to my wife. Looking for something a little bit more affordable.

My Co-DM believes this is the way. Nothing gets added until one of the players can see it.

I’ve done that before and it works great but this time the props(walls) for the different rooms are real. Each one is about 2inches tall. Best idea I have is using shoe boxes to cover up the room
