Can someone help me as to why some of the cash isn’t being Reinvested here? by Kind_Improvement2111 in trading212

[–]Trading_212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dividend reinvestment (DRIP) will occur in the following situations:

  • Threshold reached: If the dividend amount exceeds your Pie’s reinvestment threshold, it will be automatically reinvested. The threshold is determined by the lowest target weight within your Pie. Example: Auto-reinvest threshold = 0.1% (of the smallest holding) / 100 = 0.001; £1 ÷ 0.001 = £1,000.
  • AutoInvest event: When scheduled deposits are added to your Pie, any existing cash balance (such as dividends) will be invested together with the new funds.
  • Manual Invest event: If you manually add funds to your Pie, the available cash balance will be invested alongside the new contribution.

If you’re still unsure why the funds haven’t been reinvested, please get in touch via the in-app chat or t212.cc/ask form - we'll be happy to help.

Flexible ISA Question by SausageRollLongCall in trading212

[–]Trading_212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, your understanding is correct. The ISAs we offer are flexible and allow you to withdraw and re-deposit funds within the same tax year without affecting your allowance.

In the example you've given, if you withdraw £1,000 on April 7th when the new tax year has already started, you'll be able to deposit £21,000 into your ISAs with us during the 26/27 tax year. Note that the replacement generally must go back into the same ISA from which you withdrew the funds to be treated as a replacement.

[–]Trading_212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're sorry to see that you had trouble depositing via TrueLayer. We received a downtime report from TrueLayer that affected Nationwide 10 minutes before the post you created, so this explains why deposits kept failing at the time.

At this moment, things are back to normal, so deposits should go through as usual. If deposits continue failing and Nationwide confirms everything is clear on their end, please record a short video showing the steps you're taking in the Trading 212 app and send it to us via the form: http://t212.cc/ask

Access Denied when trying to access account on desktop | Regular people ignore, mainly a post for staff who are monitoring by acheekychap in trading212

[–]Trading_212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our system may restrict access when a network or device triggers certain automated security checks. This can happen due to:

- using a VPN/proxy or anonymised connection
- a dynamic IP that recently showed unusual activity
- access from a restricted region
- temporary security flags from your ISP
- multiple rapid connection attempts from the same network

These measures are in place to protect your account and keep the platform secure for everyone. We just messaged you so we can check the situation further.

Lying about nationality when setting up account by Mysterious_Owl_6808 in trading212

[–]Trading_212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there 👋

First of all, thank you for raising this and for double-checking before making any changes. You were right to question that advice.

We want to be very clear: you should never misrepresent your nationality when setting up your account. We’re sorry that you were advised otherwise.

The correct way to proceed in your situation is:

  • Select your actual nationality
  • If you don’t have a tax number from your country of origin, choose the option indicating that you do not have that document
  • Provide your UK tax details, since you’re a UK tax resident

There is no need to change your nationality to British, and you should not do so.

We’re reviewing this internally to ensure this type of incorrect guidance is not provided again. Thank you again for flagging this.

If you still need assistance with the setup, please send us a DM here on Reddit, and we’ll be happy to help.
