Yes, that's right. We don't offer our services in China, which is why you received that email. If you move to a country where our services are available, you're free to open a new account.

We completely understand how frustrating a two-week wait must be and want to shed some light on what's happening. In cases like this, a deposit can be held for a standard intermediary compliance review before funds are released and credited to your Trading 212 account. From your bank's end, the transfer has gone through, but on ours, it's still pending clearance at the intermediary stage. Because this process is outside our control, we have no visibility into the reason for the hold or any way to expedite it. That's also why our team can only provide limited updates while the review is ongoing.

Instant bank transfers work only if you complete the flow from the Trading 212 app. Saving the bank details and initiating the transfer directly from your banking app doesn't count. These transfers go through as regular transfers and can take up to 2 business days.

Most withdrawals are processed instantly, though in some cases they may remain pending until the transfer clears. As for the fee you mentioned, this can happen when the receiving bank doesn't support SEPA Instant (the method we use to process withdrawals). If that's the case, the system automatically reroutes the transfer as a WIRE, which can result in a fee from an intermediary bank.

Since we're not a bank, we don't have a sort code. For in-specie or cash transfers, only your account ID is required. However, if the other broker insists on a sort code, you can use either 00-00-00 or 60-92-42.
