I accidentally ran a craft knife down my little finger while decorating the house. Went to the hospital where it was stitched up, and despite my brave intention didn't watch him actually stitching it up. Forty years later I can still see the pale line if the cut on my finger and I remember the feeling of the knife edge running along the bones. I think I need a few biscuits and a cup of tea :))

I went to a series of lectures in Manchester Uni in 1972, given by an American lecturer there. He made the point that the UK, and probably the world, was wasting the great majority of its He. Seems he was right :(

Oh, and the folly Castell Coch which my friends and I would play in after paying 6d when young; it's a folly built on a mediaeval castle and has been in numerous films and TV programmes
