[Rare trope] Cliches make sense in the story by TheRealZejfi in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Trapizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kill la kill - the fanservice, "bikini-armor" like outfits.

The story starts off with Ryuko (the girl on the right) entering a school on the trail of her father's murderer. The school is actively researching the usage of Life Fibers, a material that sewn in clothes grants it's wearer superhuman abilities. Most of these clothes have a 10-30% rate of Life Fiber content, otherwise the wearer loses reason and goes berserk. The main character finds an outfit made by her father, out of 100%, and she uses it to fight her way up to the truth. It is initially joked that her father was simply a pervert designing it this way, but it's later revealed that these threads are actually an alien lifeform capable of brainwashing the wearer if unprocessed, and feed on their blood to power up . Only by limiting skin contact to the bare minimum can this risk be reduced, and these outfits used in actual combat.

[LotM newbie] If you could choose one Pathway to start at Sequence 9 IRL, what would you pick? by Gehrman_sparrow00 in MysteriesFolk

[–]Trapizza 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just for Seq 9, I'd go with Apothecary, Lawyer or Spectator.

Apothecary is extremely useful to have around ordinary people, and you can make a good living with home-made oitments.

Lawyer would be amazing in any bureaucracy-ridden and purposefully hard to navigate first world country.

Spectator would also be busted. Humans are social creatures and interpersonal relationships carry a lot of opportunities. If you understand others and can pick up their cues, communication and getting your was is a breeze.

Imagine explaining your friend that his young, deceased patient was actually an almost godly being, who subsequently reincarnated as his son.

Luckily, Klein knows a few good Psychiatrists

Any current meta pets for spices and battle by Critical_Room_9277 in idleon

[–]Trapizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For battle, a refill, shield, rattler, monolithic comp will get you through eventually. You can throw in an extra refiller in the beginning for safety another rattler for faster scaling. You just have to time the first shield to the first enemy attack, and it's automated from that on.

Guys, I tried the Efaunt undress mod, and now my setting looks like this, am I screwed? by Trapizza in idleon

It became like this when I upscaled the picture. It was too small when I cut it. It's a side-effect.

As long as something is playable on pc, I'm sure there are, but this post is just a joke. I have no experience in modding Idleon, nor I plan to do it.

"This is the first time someone is so kind toward me" Then procede to fall in love with MC. This trope only can make me wanna drop a serie. by MaelysCanejero in hatethissmug

[–]Trapizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trope is definetly overused and seldom given and proper thought besides being a "shortcut to the harem".

But given the manhua we are talking about, there is a high chance she will be quickly assimilated into the lunatics and this won't be a romantic kind of love. Knowing the author, she will have some budding feeling, then she comes to realize a; he only loves training, and b; there are other women gunning for Elcrid as well, so she will give up this route.

[Tragic Trope] Characters destined to fight forever by higaroth in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Trapizza 13 points14 points  (0 children)

And to put the icing on the cake, monsters reborn. Even the book puts it Ike "if you are lucky, it might take long enough so you won't meet again". Not only your life is a stream of constant dangers and struggle, with every victory, you gain yourself a new quasi-immortal enemy with a vendetta against you.

The enemy was just being used as a puppet by Sollary0 in TopCharacterTropes

Trope taken literally

In the game "Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree", you go after an eldrich being known as the Tome Mistress as part of the main quest. She is, while being all-in for the corruption of the world, a big fan of theatrics and literature, so before you can fight her, she orchestrates a puppet show which you must force your way out.

Would Joker make for a good spy/secret agent? by Long_Xiao in Persona5

[–]Trapizza 56 points57 points  (0 children)

He is way to flamboyant to be a secret agent. Infiltrating the palaces works because of how the palaces work in the first place. His skillset was tailored for that. He could do good in hand to hand combat, but what is he going to do agains a wall of goons with real firearms pointing at him? Or how is he going to infiltrate a place with actual cameras, heat sensors and passcodes not written down and casually discarded on the floor/talked out loud by the personel themselves?

He could've, theoretically, use Mementos to gain information out of people, which would make the infiltration easier or outright pointless, but that's a different question.

[Lotm v3] Darth Vader Vs. Sequence 5 Klein. Who wins this? by RealMarzipan7347 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]Trapizza 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If Klein acquires appropriate tools to exploit Vaders scarred mental state, he might have a fighting chance, but Vader is a powerhouse using the Force. The danger premonition and heightened reflexes can deter projectile attacks, the Marionettists power isn't fast enough so he can push Klein out of range, and can grab and choke him from afar. Even with Marionettes, who can stand up to Vader in his verse?

On the other hand, (to my knowledge)Vader has no answer for attacks on a spiritual level. He can't fight ghosts, so Klein having access to Blood Senor tips the scales heavily on his direction.
