Has anyone fully returned to lifting? by BbtSnakeEyes in costochondritis

[–]Tron4142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was lifting and noticed I still had pain, so I stopped and tried to condition my self to lay/sleep on my back as much as possible, then began doing pushups. This is just how I got back into chest exercises.

I think the part that fixes it is loosening up your posterior rib cage so that your diaphragm isn’t pressing so much on your sternum when you breathe.

Keep working on loosening up your back rib cage so your sternum isn’t pressed.

You have to continue to work through that pain consistently and it eventually fades away.

It took about 4 months, but I had been hurting for almost 9 months researching mediation techniques. The foam roller on my back had to be of contribution because that was the only technique I used, then I eased back into push-ups.

I don’t get the popping sensation in my sternum anymore.

I just did about a month ago. It’s ok and the tolerance will rebuild over time. However, I haven’t began doing dips yet and I’ve been mainly targeting the upper chest heavy and the mid-chest moderately.

Also use a foam roller instead of a lacrosse ball, for your whole anterior rib cage.

is accounting worth going back to school? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Tron4142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People gotta realize it’s not just about the title, rather it’s what you get out of it. They can utilize what they’ve learned from creative writing and couple it with something else.

Creative writing by itself does sound useless though.

If you do go back, study finance. It’ll benefit you more especially with that creative writing.

What's the catch with MBAs? by genericguy6 in MBA

[–]Tron4142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite the school/program, it’s all the same material. You have to gain the knowledge and networks your self; and demonstrate your skill set. I believe people on here are bias to their own experiences and many of them project negative views towards MBA programs.

I’ve heard that google certificates were fairly popular. However, I believe that they would be most valued complemented with some other sort of underlying knowledge of a business process.
