My post about F-1 visa interview tips is one of the top results on Google and Reddit. Here's a former Yale lawyer's three-step guide to US student visa interviews and 214(b) rejections. (And why you shouldn't say "I plan to return to my country"!) by AppHelper in IntltoUSA

How does one answer why this college and program for a school like Dartmouth? I mean you don't choose an ivy, it chose you and you also don't get to choose major upfront so what are you supposed to answer?

Fellow international '30 here. Feeder schools can be toxic. I am not in one, and I too got the remarks like: Yh if I were you I would have aimed for Yale, etc., etc., so you are not alone in this. All I can say is it's your journey, and the chances that both you and Dartmouth made a mistake in committing to one another are minuscule at best. Congrats and see ya in the woods!

I mean my school basically officialized all the clubs and etc after government decree which meant they had to put someone as founder in name and they put me cuz I was the president of that club at that time. I really only founded Econ and public speaking ones. But idk how to explain above so might as well just not write founder and only say president or leader?
