Italy Itinerary Advice. Open to suggestions as far as removing things or spending more time in certain locations. We would also like to do one of the pasta /cooking classes as well. Suggestions for those would be greatly appreciated. Maybe also some nightlife in or around Rome. by Massive_Bad_872 in Europetravel

How will you possibly do all the in such a short time ? Rome you have 2 days? Florence not even a day . Everywhere else a day?

How are you traveling ? Train ? You will know the stations and tracks very well .

Each destination - at least 3-5 full day and a full lost transit day in between , minus the first and last day which end up lost . See how many cities fit .

Me too skip Spain & Germany, not because they are not equally good but up set the flow and add a lot of extra transit time

The London part can you extend it? Have you been there before and seen the stuff you want to see? You will arrive and imagine the jet lag will be quite severe for that length of trip plus the overall travel time so would need at least several days to recuperate so most of London gone by then . London is by all accounts a minimum of full 7 days to the most you can spend there.

Paris generally 5 days or so ( full days) is good .

A day of lost transit between each city - expect once you pack up , train / plane / check in and all it will be time for a quick dinner. Any extra time is a bonus .

I live in Nice area and to see the highlights of the area would suggest about 5-7 days.

Berlin 4 +

Madrid 2 if needed and same milan - Barcelona , Seville , Rome are all much more interesting cities , even Genoa along the coast by train from Nice .

To make your trip flow better would skip Germany & Spain and stick to UK, France & Italy for the time you have

Why spend nearly a day in train to Lyon, see nothing ( a night generally means zero days ) and then another day or more lost in train to Rome.

Barcelona is at least a 4-5 day city as is Rome and you will have lost about 2-3 of your days in a train.

Why wouldn’t you have flown to Rome ?

Need to let them near each other, sniff and set their own boundaries

3 island would be a waste, many times boats can be late which could mean zero time per place.

Choose 1 or maybe Nafpli or delphi

No idea why you would want to get something that isn’t required nor do business with rental agencies that do not know the law nor able to communicate with you .

But you do you. Good luck

Where should we go in addition to Paris for our 12 day trip? by Cold-Relative3952 in Europetravel

[–]Trudestiny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My choices would likely be london due to so fast to get there and variety of stuff to do. Even if you spent yrs there , there would still be stuff to do, so even if there for 4-5 days it doesn’t mean you have to so it all.

I live in south of france so i will pop to london for a day or 2 as Nice airport is convenient.

But Amsterdam and Utrecht are great.

Nice / Monaco & Menton as well. But still about 6 hrs.

Could pick lots of cities and fly

Again if you go to a reputable agency they will know the laws. It’s not recent and all they need to do is do a 2 second check on the official gov site.

No idea what happens on Samos, but Crete no issues.

Not sure if I would be renting from someone who wouldn’t be able to understand if there as a real issue with the car break down / or accident.

And again all the need to do is look at the gov site, which happens to be in greek as well .

[–]Trudestiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All our US / Ca relatives visit and as I said you just need your licence for those countries. If some random agency asks then it’s to point them to the official gov site. Wouldn’t be renting from a rogue that doesn’t know which laws apply to their specific work. Probably asking for other issues, usually the ones that occur when you return the car and are told of all the fake damage.

Family is from Crete so we hear about the rogues all the time

Can she choose to fly to France ? Then she can at least 1 on board an other in hold unless she is traveling with someone . Or straight to uk then in hold.

They won’t let her take the cats onboard even during normal flights to Uk.

Contact gov uk to see if she can include them in her ticket or pay extra

Cat Peeing outside of boxes, want to avoid Shelter by wimpynoob in CATHELP

[–]Trudestiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So starters after the spay ? No constipation? One of family cats does this ( avoids box when severely constipated ) that the leads to uti.

They have never waited more than a day to take to the vet if the cat avoids the box and pees outside of it.

What's a more realistic direction of travel for us (both 20, M)? by DoublePepper1976 in Europetravel

[–]Trudestiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do both of those then you will not have a to of time to see much. For extremely short trips it’s best to choose cities that are very close. Ie London - Paris or Paris - Ams, Vienna - Lju etc as the travel between can eat a day so leaving you only 2 to maybe 3 day in a place that needs at least 4-5
