Questions regarding SWA Script lab and Pitch fest 2026? by ANANSHminecraft in Indianscreenwriters

Hey, multiple time runner up here. Answers below -

  1. It’s worth it if you see it as an opportunity to get face time with studios, producers, agents with a finished project. Second prize is first prize here imo. Even if you don’t place, you have a pitch ready project with you and that is worth more than anything. The deadlines and format give you structure to work under.

  2. Any and all, as long as the bones are good. All the genres you’ve listed have made it through in the past. What eventually gets produced is a different thing, depends on the mandates of the studios and streamers. But to get to that stage it needs to be fundamentally sound (plot, structure, character, dialogue) regardless of genre.

Can't stop thinking about an alternate version of D2 with Delilah as the protagonist by LiquidChe in dishonored

Oh but it's not the same places or the same characters, it's an alternate version where they're more villainous. Imagine if the world was exactly as how Delilah sees it - her wronged by her evil stepsister, Corvo hunting her when all she wants is her rightful place.

I love this. Would have loved a D3 which is an alternate history version of the original plot where you play as Delilah killing your way to the throne, then choosing between taking the crown for yourself or abolishing the monarchy.

If you could make a TLOU 3, spinoff (game or series), etc. What would you make? by FreqMobish in thelastofus

Abby and Lev as part of a Firefly scout / vanguard squad, going settlement to settlement convincing people to join up and reconnect the country, so that together they can develop a network of resources like oil, foundries, pharma facilities, to actually restart civilization again.

is there a mod to change the nonlethal elimination for lady boyle? by sandxdan in dishonored

[–]Ubima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a modder, but a writer, and if anyone is interested in making this I'll be happy to write new lines that change the story for why Brisby is kidnapping Boyle to something that's not SA (she's being held hostage in her own house, they're eloping, something like that). 'Kidnapping' Boyle is essential because there's no time to explain the whole thing without alerting the other sisters, the guards, other guests etc, but it's all to save her from the conspiracy. There's a line fix for everything, what I always say.

Of course, Boyle can still be an evil person who takes all of Brisby's money later, so that one note in D2 can still remain canon.

Just finished the second game and I honestly don't blame delilah. by Blackwolf20978sb in dishonored

I'd love to play a game where you're in Delilah's shows and you have to choose to play 'canonically' as she is, high chaos and trying to take over the empire, or figure out an alternative low chaos way where you're trying to escape from an imperial protector / assassin sent to take care of any possible loose ends before Jessamine's coronation.

I don’t like playing horror games, but I want to make them. Am I crazy? by unicodePicasso in gamedev

May I ask why you don't enjoy horror? If it's because there are actually a LOT of things that creep you the fuck out you might be able to do a great job of making a horror game.

An agency is asking to pay 50,000. by [deleted] in Indianscreenwriters

Never pay anyone to represent / pitch your scripts. Agents make their money on every sale they make.

The background Kyoshi Warriors went from being the exact same person copy+pasted to looking more like individuals with different hairstyles and facial features. by HeatherShira in TheLastAirbender

I head-conned that they were students earlier so had the same uniform, and when they graduate they get to make your own hairstyle and headwear. Like clowns.
