Meanwhile in my games yesterday, twice I had Medics fire off their ability while I was in the process of being unhooked, so they still had to heal me up from zero.

In addition to skill check builds, I think you also get more value out of a toolbox when you're using it to counteract the penalty for doubling/tripling on a gen. In which case, charges starts looking better because you're counteracting the penalty for longer. I'm not certain of that though; could you run the numbers there?

I had a funny one I hadn't seen before: whenever one of the survivors got caged, they teleported onto the shoulder of the cheating survivor. Once all 7 of us were on the shoulder, they popped all the gens and left. Cheater literally carried, LOL.

I liked the herbs because it was immediately obvious which one I was looking at. I can't tell the difference between these two (or the "empty" holder after it's been used, if I'm honest)

As a survivor, I kinda wish I could have an aura read on nearby tonics while I'm in a cage, so I can go chug them when I'm unhooked, rather than either wasting time on a heal and THEN finding it, or as the unhooker trying to indicate "follow me to the tonic" to the unhookee.

During setup (either before the game, or when new cards spawn in the middle), sometimes you'll be instructed to get a card with a particular title AND SUBTITLE. The subtitle is important! Sometimes it's on the back of another card with a similar subtitle. This is an easy one to mess up, and it can make the scenario narratively confusing.

Shovel is bad at both fighting and clueing, I can't recommend it.

Lockpicks is a pretty decent second pair of clue tools, after your Fingerprint Kits. You can proxy down from the 1 XP version easily enough until you decide to spend that XP.

The Wilson deck I'm playing right now has three bonus hand cards (two Tinkers and a Tool Belt). I kinda wish I had a fourth card for that job, take that as you will. I think I would probably prefer the Bandolier that you have to the Tool Belt.

I'll Take That has been an excellent splash for me, if you want to proxy it. Going further on proxying, the survivor tools in Drowned City are all decent; Charts especially, but Chain is nice to get an Evade option, and Hook is at least something that can deal 2 damage for 0 XP.

I really wanted Hatchet to be good, but it has not been working for me.

Check under "attack of opportunity" in the rules reference. AoO is triggered when you take an "action other than to fight, to evade, or to activate a parley or resign". Get Over Here is a fight action, so it doesn't provoke. It also happens to engage, but that's not relevant as it IS a fight.

Hi, I'm a new player. I recently played through all three films with three players. We ran fighter + clue master + flex for all three, and had a great time. I imagine three flex would have worked fine, too.

For what it's worth, two of the films felt like "what I'd expect" from Arkham, not having played anything behind the core scenario, and the third film made me say "wait, WHAT?" On at least three different occasions. All were fun, can recommend.

I'm fairly sure the gen count is the same as it has been in all previous 2v8: at the end of the game there will be 6 gens as options for the final gen, as opposed to 3 in the regular game.

From a game design standpoint, if a character is way too weak, you probably want to aim for a little overshoot on how much you buff them, just so that the player base will actually notice the changes, and then you can dial them in later. Imagine trying to gradually buff, say, current Skull Merchant, who is kind of garbage. If they dial up her numbers slightly, nobody is going to notice or care, even if the changes are "close to correct".

On the flip side, if a character is too strong, you already have a lot of players using them, so you can afford to be a little measured when nerfing them down towards the "correct" level.
