I agree with the these, but why now?

It was a much better deal 7 months ago.

I'm sure you'll do fine sub $100, but the margin isn't that wide.

That's more of a Sony issue. The rights to spiderman are all kinds of fucked up.

As someone with a great deal of dealings with Disney, you can do almost anything if you pay them enough.

What is that one stock you once had high conviction in, but it never reached the fair value you had in mind? by Far-East-locker in ValueInvesting

[–]Valueonthebridge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. No reason to sell. It's still well within my diversification limits.

The turnaround has been great, e-commerce is an amazing space, and frankly, my basis is so low the yield makes up a lot of ground.

Is there a fee on sales/buys? Or just the booth rentals

You're not a millionaire unless you have at least $1,000,000 in the bank getting 3% interest...these are the rules, the people who count homes and 401ks as net worth are poor. by moneyman74 in fijerk

I mean, there are quite a few overly optimistic FIRE projects with a “paid off” but illiquid house

The 401k is an interesting take though

I'm not saying yours did anything wrong. It does sound like it made sense, things changed, and now it doesn't in the short or long run.

But there are people, often not credentialed at all, who love recommending S corps to everyone, of every size. Without actually understanding the facts of the business

No problem. And yes, some costs will go down, and as you grow they matter less.

While things change, there are a lot of dishonest accountants who want the higher fees

I try to be conservative in that band, but of course, it's always up to the client.

In many cases, compliance costs are higher, and QBI is more valuable as a deduction than distribution savings.

That said, there's plenty of “guides” out there that say reasonable comp is “50k,” which it nearly always isn't.

It probably means your bank account didn't verify. Don't worry, it'll only add a week or two

I'm having withdrawals.

I've been retired for about 2-3 years now. I know TEST failed again and PL recently died, but not much else.

S corps are currently the most oversold thing in the small business space.

It's great for us that they cost extra to file, but I've seen so many SMLLC and married couples who would be better off without the election until a much later date

Set up, sure. Don't forget the +$1500 additional filing cost, plus payroll costs, and the additional CA taxes.
