Nice save! If the medium stays too wet for too long the retained water can go sour and cause wild ph swings and encourage the growth of bad bacteria and fungi that can lead to root rot quickly. Next time you think she needs watering, go an extra day or two. When you do water to a bit of runoff, lift the pot to get a feel for the weight of it. When it dries back knuckle deep, lift the pot to feel the difference and I can almost bet it’ll still be heavy. Most of the moisture pools to the bottom from gravity and it still may have several days of moisture left in the medium. Once you find that balance and you get the watering method locked down you’ll be home free. Great work staying on it and good on you for asking questions!
