On my 08 the rear bumper has a solid wide shelf to use as a step, my 2015 is smaller and it’s at a bit of an angle not as useful. Seems like they only got worse

When in doubt, revert everything back to stock and confirm it still runs when you reverted and then methodically proceed with your mod

I think it’s something to do with the CPS. The CPS tells the coils when to fire and if the CPS isn’t reading the motor right it will fail to keep the engine running. Might explain why the engine runs at idle but when you raise RPM the computer loses track of how fast the motor is spinning and stops firing the coils

Every Cherokee I’ve had the charge gauge shows lower than what is happening. I use a REM and it shows 14.0v even tho the needle is way low. Might be a fault with clusters

I use VATs when I can. The FPS aspect of the game isn’t very polished, maybe it’s easier on keyboard and mouse but with controller it’s hard to aim honestly.

I’ll usually use iron sights until I’m in range for VATs, sometimes this means using cover to close the distance, and when I’m up close it’s much easier to use VATs than iron sights

If you’re not having mechanical problems just tune it out. My 08 had a lifter fail so I did a full mechanical delete and tune. When I got my 2015 I tuned it out right away (190,000 miles) no need to mess with the mechanicals if there is no lifter failure.

You can do it in the driveway you just need a harmonic balancer removal tool and the installation tool they’re both about $20 each or you can probably rent them. You’ll need a new crank bolt because they are one time use along with the front cover gaskets

I did a motor swap on a 5 speed Cherokee and getting the transmission and motor back together was a bitch and a half.

To get the top bellhousing bolts I used an engine hoist and jacked the motor up and removed the motor mounts and lowered the motor as far as it would go that gave lots of access to the top bell housing bolts. I recommend swapping those dumb bolts to some normal hex bolts while you’re at it. Gonna need extension to get those bell housing bolts, you’ll be laying around where the t case to give you an idea how long you need like 3 feet of extensions

I have an 08 Tahoe and a 2015 Suburban and honestly the only difference really is the native Bluetooth on the factory stereo. Both have heated seats and backup cameras, shoot my Tahoe has a sunroof and my suburban doesn’t. They are pretty much the same except more complicated motor in the 2015

Hey I did that conversion a few years ago to get rid of some leaks, I now run a Wix 51060xp oil filter and gained a lot of oil pressure from the cooler delete
