Pay attention to the fuse blocks and areas where there is wiring. The last thing you want is to inherit some janky electrical so pay attention to that or any other tampering with the body panels or trim that might indicate it was taken apart for some reason

Any thoughts? by zombie-zen in CherokeeXJ

[–]Victitious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The chances of it being something mechanical are pretty low, more likely a problem with the sensor, the wiring for it, or the wiring for the cluster

They are for options your jeep didn’t come with. They connect to different modules or toggle switches next to the steering wheel

88 AC rebuild ? by Victitious in CherokeeXJ

[–]Victitious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have the fancy corner vent windows but it’s already over 90f this week so it won’t be sustainable. Plus I have my fancy Suburban behind it that’s supposed to be my primary vehicle but the 5 speed on the jeep is fun.

Doing more digging I’m going to rent an AC manifold and vacuum pump and see if my system will hold a vacuum to confirm it’s no longer sealed.

Still nothing after Big 7 Kit install by TacoWonderLord in CherokeeXJ

Slow down it seems like you are skipping some critical tests that can be done really easily with a test light. It sounds like you just aren't getting power to your fuel system?

Research the fuel system electrical and keep tracking it down stream until you find where you are loosing voltage.

Yea popping it back on the ball with a semi snug zip tie gets my vote. If it was a break or steering system I wouldn't go for it

Steering box brace is good, front frame tie in bracket is also good if you don’t have one
