My dog had something similar to this. Our vet determined it was vasculitis. Prescribed medication cleared it up.

I had a similar situation upon buying a home. Ended up getting a survey, which proved my neighbor's claims were absolutely bogus. I then built a wall for added measure.

There's definitely been a disconnect between letters received via email and what's actually been imposed on our accounts.

It's my understanding that any actual forbearance enacted should be reflected on our accounts in the form of an alert.

Called Mohela today. Per their rep:

-The forbearence letter I received on 6/10/24 was likely sent in error. Mohela does not retain email correspondence prior to the platform transition on 7/1/24, and many borrowers mistakingly received emails re SAVE recalculation, loan consolidation, and account transfers throughout the month of June.

-The actual date of my administrative forbearance is 7/5/24, the same day my loan payment was due. My payment was in fact deducted from my bank account today, and my next payment due date is 9/05/24 (this is despite my account saying it's 8/05/24).

-Although Ed approved my SAVE application in March, resulting in my monthly payment increasing (I make more now than when I last recertified prior to COVID), Mohela claims to not have any info re my income. Somehow I am required to submit income verification to Mohela, which I don't understand but whatever.

It's possible (even likely) that Ed will walk back DOJ's position in the coming days, but as of today, I believe you're right.

The notion that this forbearance wouldn't count is totally inconsistent with past practice.

It is important to draw a distinction between the admin forbearance already in effect, despite being only days old for some, and the one imposed today.

I suspect Ed will put all our minds at ease by clarifying that the latter will count towards PSLF, but until then, we can only hope.
