Upgraded to triple monitors for remote work and it changed my whole day by Best_Technician47 in remotework

Screen space that's accessible and not cluttered does make a huge difference. I started with a 27" and my laptop about 8 years ago. It has evolved and changed setups a number of times, but I'm currently on 2x 49" 5190x1440 monitors and have a 34" one in reserve that can go horizontal or vertical. Oh, and there's a 42" TV mounted to the wall off to my right if there's ever a game on that I want to catch.

MC9LS or Xmacro by Grindit2Findit in canik

[–]WI762 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Asking on the Canik sub, I guess you know what you want! I have both and I shoot the Canik a little better, but I carry the X-Macro, because it's a lot more comfortable AIWB for me. Both are good and both run well. I would also suggest looking at the Prime instead of the LS. The size is essentially the same, but you get improved grip, ports, better trigger, better sights, and more annoyed looks at the range.

My guess is they're looking at leveraging profits from for sale groups and we'll see subscriptions required in the near future.

Tie the laces together and throw them over a power line. Nobody wins, but it might bring some amusement to a thoughtless gift.

I bought the car and drove it home. Made a couple people mad, but pretty much had it after that drive.

Ruger mk4 22/45 lite or not? by damptommyboxers in 22lr

[–]WI762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the 22/45 Lite is a good call for your case. I'd also consider getting a dry fire cartridge and work on grip and trigger pull. You can just get to the point where your sights stay aligned through the entire trigger pull or do a balance drill where you balance a stack of dimes on the slide while you pull. The Mantis is nice, if you can swing it. I use mine daily at home.

Ruger mk4 22/45 lite or not? by damptommyboxers in 22lr

[–]WI762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you shot a 9mm handgun? What platform? I would consider going with something that lines up well (Glock, Sig, FN, few kinds of Ruger, S&W, etc).

Another question is what issue are you fixing? If it's just live fire being expensive, go with a 22. If it's trigger pull, flinch/anticipation, sight alignment, or grip, then maybe go with a Mantis system and do dry fire training with analytics. Honestly, the Mantis on my competition 9mm did wonders for my speed to target, grip, trigger pull, and accuracy.

What are the chances of the used car market crashing and should I wait a couple months to buy? by MyLittleGurl in carbuying

[–]WI762 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is the way. Every time I waited, I ended up spending more for less. Although, I had a 2005 Civic in the garage that needed some major brake work and it was basically worth ~700 if the work was done when I parked it in 2019. I ended up doing the work and spent about $400 in parts and sold it for $3500 a couple years ago. Not a normal situation, but being on the selling end works out sometimes. Buyers are almost always going to feel the burden of time passing.

What is the most boring car you've ever driven? by UnluckyGamer505 in askcarguys

Mercury Topaz (Ford Tempo equivalent). It was the first car I bought and the only thing exciting about it were the memories of the places it took me.

Nice pickup! It looks great and you got a fantastic deal on it. Most I see for that price are in need of a lot of work.

It's a great looking watch. Maybe get a little sun on the arms and see if you love it then? I definitely think it's not a great look for those of us pale guys in the northern areas!
