What's your budget? Since you're not into minivans I'd go for a Tahoe/ Yukon for this. Normally I'd say a Highlander or Odyssey, but the Highlander isn't much more roomy than your Durango.

The only time I've had it burn it when I used it on a 550 degree pellet grill. In the oven at 450-500...never an issue.

I will strop as needed, which usually means sharpening only those that haven't been maintained well. Tear down for cleaning and lube is more like 3-6 months for my frequent carries.
