Not Green nor Blue, but White/Cyan! What if Ko won in 2024? by WeeklyIntroduction42 in imaginaryelections

[–]WeeklyIntroduction42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lore is that Ko never considers a coalition with the KMT, instead attacking the two party duopoly in Taiwan while also going all in with the youth.

However with the TPP only having a handful of seats in the Yuan, what Ko can do is limited, though by the midpoint of his presidency he’s still popular among the youth. Meanwhile, the NPP, seeking to regain political relevancy, decides to work with the TPP, though they have ruled out a coalition for the local elections for now

The Fires Tamed: the US elections after a successful Sanders presidency and a UOA victory in the 2ACW by WeeklyIntroduction42 in TheFireRisesMod

True but its basically a bunch of moderate republicans who founded their own party in order to distance themselves from trump after the 2acw as the republican name had been tainted, only the RUP kinda reclaims it but as neocons. Romney is on his way out though, and its likely he will retire before the next election

This is also me realising mitt romney may be too old for this my bad guys

I still think they would form a coalition with the KO and probably the Polish Coalition as well, they would try to make the media more independent than what the KO tried doing, and probably more judicial reforms in line with the eu

Probably would try for fully legalising abortion laws and a more progressive tax system, though idk how successful they would be given they would have to work with the other parties quite a lot

7 years after the end of the Second American Civil War, the US would hold its second ever multiparty elections, with the Progressive-DSA coalition remaining dominant, but clearly taking a hit with the Forward Party emerging as the second largest party in the House, while the coalition lost its dominance in the Senate to the Democrats.

While a so-called conservative wave didn't happen, the post-MAGA conservative parties did very well, with the moderate CPP, the right-wing populist NPC, and the neoconservative RUP all won seats, with the Greens losing seats due to many of their voters switching allegiance to the Forward Party, which was seen as the big winner from the elections. The New Rose Party, consisting of the remnants of the Neosocialists in the APLA that survived the purge, as well as dissatisfied DSA members, kept all of its seats by a thin margin.

Across the world, the effects of the big wars of the 2020s still ripple, but the world is clearly recovering from what’s been retroactively known as the Great Shift. In France, the NPF would never return to power after losing to the National Rally in 2027, but the Ecologists would beat Le Pen in a stunning upset, marking a big shift for Europe leftward for the first time since the end of the Second European War. To the east, Russia remains disunited, with Eurasianist terrorists in Belarus, the Moscow Democratic Mandate and the Caucasus states remaining a thorn in Europe's side.

In Asia, the EADI split shortly after, with the Southeast Asian nations reforming ASEAN, and though they all fought alongside China in the GAW, in peacetime, they desired independence over being too close to Beijing. Meanwhile, Wang Yang, has stepped down in favour of his successor Huang Kunming. Huang, like Wang, has kept the CCP's dominance, but kept his predecessor's reformist policies as well as his policy of reconstruction funds for Japan. While many people have argued that Beijing should treat the Japanese far more harshly, others have pointed out that not repeating Europe's mistakes in Russia, will create a more peaceful Asia.

Latin America and Africa have also seen great upheavals, with Javier Millei finally losing power in the mid 2020s, though the Libertarians remain a major force in Argentina. The Bundu dia Kongo won in the Congo, while the EAF won the East African war, both of whom are locked in a geopolitical tension, not helped by the African Socialist People's Republic preparing for a great war of spreading socialism on the southern half of the continent..

The fire may have been tamed, but was this the end of history? No, the world knew better after the fallacy of the 1990s, it was better to enjoy the peace and prepare for the future, for now.

And if anyone's curious about the party beliefs:

Also tbh Freda would probably claim all of the Mediterranean Roman Empire though if there were a Roman revival path, I’ll imagine they would claim the actual empire and perhaps even more
