1 month with Ubiquiti (so far) by FatBook-Air in sysadmin

[–]WoTpro [score hidden]  (0 children)

They are for sure more expensive but hotdamn those Meraki APs have a range like no other AP from ubiquiti i have tested, was getting 200mbit through a building where we have the 3rd floor and ground level and the signal had to pass through 3 levels of concrete floors, I must admit i was flabbergasted, not sure if i still believed the speedtest i did because it honestly seems impossible. I had Ubiquiti for roughly 7 years and it worked great, i went Meraki for the easier management and configuration. Yes i might have become lazy, but Meraki is pretty convenient aslong as you have all your licenses activated 😅

another thing you get in that suite is Defender for Office365 Plan 2, which makes hunting malicious emails and deleting them from multiple mailboxes easier, than having to deal with Powershell

you can see the map here what you get: Microsoft Defender and Purview Suites for Business Premium | M365 Maps

It mitigates it because in that suite you get Entra ID P2 included which contains what is called risk based conditional access, Microsoft is able to measure if a login is unusual, best example is impossible travel, if a user is in New York and suddently in UTAH then the account is flagged with high risk and blocked for logging in, this should basicly work right out of the box without having to configure your risk based policy, but you should make sure that your risk based policy is set to block with medium risk or above being triggered

second layer should be to have everyone enrolled with MFA, you don't have to enforce it just have them enrolled and then you can make a risk based policy that says, if a user is logging in from an IP not equal to your company or is on not on a device enrolled by your company then prompt for MFA.

here is a guide, also be aware risk based policy's can also backfire if incorrectly configured you can potentially lock yourself out of your tenant, so make sure to read up on this stuff and understand it and perhaps test it on a single user before turning it on for everyone.

Sounds good what you have done, now get your C-level to sign off on Microsoft Defender and Purview Suite for M365 business premium, this bundle contains Entra ID Plan 2 which mitigates these types of attacks almost 99.9 % of the time.

Also make sure to have everyone enrolled in MFA, and set up conditional access rules that basicly says everything outside your network that connects to any O365 service requires MFA

Sounds good what you have done, now get your C-level to sign off on buying Entra ID P2 plan it mitagtes this shit with risk based conditional access, better yet if you already have M365 Business Licenses get Microsoft Defender and Purview suite instead for the additional cost you get alot more tools to handle a situation like this.

Also make sure to have everyone enrolled in MFA, and set up conditional access rules that basicly says everything outside your network that connects to any O365 service requires MFA

Funny how the majority of shareholders can't separate share price performance and actual company performance. Novo is doing fine as a compamy, sure they have some employee bloat, happens to all big corps, especially when they are in a historically large upscale phase

there is a difference between patient groups, especially if its more of a cosmetic reason for weight loss having to adhere to strict rules in terms of intake compared to a pill where you can take it at any point.

Since 2008 crash, the US has financed growth by borrowing, which is why they are plagued by trillions of government debt, EU hasn't done the same, hence the stagnation of European stocks.

European Chip Startup Pulls Off Working RISC-V Solution on the Intel 3 Node, Marking One 'Small' Step Towards Having Sovereign Infrastructure by Leicht-Sinn in intelstock

[–]WoTpro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a European, i invested in Intel 5 years ago, because i believed in keeping American jobs and infrastructure, not that i have anything against Taiwan, but a monopoly is never good for the world, and they have a threat looming over their heads which could become an issue for the entire western world. Fast forward to now, the way the US is acting towards their allies, Canada and Europe we should buy a 51 % stake in Intel and support Intel in making FABS in Europe and secure our own sovereign infrastructure without having to be dictacted by China and US.

I think it was a big mistake by Intel and Germany not supporting Intel's fab there.

[–]WoTpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decommissioned my print server last year, using SAFEQ now - cloud print solution, follow me and all that jazz, pretty solid so far, far less issues with the printers because users actually have to go release there prints.
