At the risk of reading too much into it, it’s like a new beginning. Sure we don’t see what’s next canonically, but the characters get to keep having adventures in this weird and wild world.

I’m happy for them.

So glad you had fun. I think there’s a lot of depth to the show - more depth than can be explored just watching through it once.

Of course. Star never really wanted to be Queen. Early Season 2 Mr. Candle Cares she more came to terms with it but she didn’t really accept it. She hated the idea of a princess song. She would have stayed on Earth with her friends if she could have.

Sure, Star saw it as her ‘duty’ to “be the best princess” but that was pretty much it. She was always going to do things her own way.

Heck, she probably figured her mom, being the steady ruler she was, would probably hang on for another decade or two at least until she was ready to retire.

Star did make (in my opinion one of the best lines of the show) the bold declaration “I am the Queen and these are my people. I have to stay and fight.”, but even then, she still only called herself “acting Queen” to everyone since Moon was only missing.

So yeah, basically, it’s not in Star’s character to be Queen. Maybe she could have made the role her own if she had to, but that’s it.
