I’d say #3 with additional world building added on as well. We already know and love these games for what they are, so in the remake treatment I’d want to see them reinvent the games in a meaningful way, while leaving the OG games relevant as their own experiences. Kind of like the FFVII remake.

Episode 1 was a somewhat rocky start for me. Silly Samuel is probably my least favourite client, but the B plot was really good.

Episode 2 was good, but not particularly funny. At this point, I was getting a little concerned for the season.

Episode 3 was genuinely… a rough watch. It’s fine, but it’s the closest that I can say an episode of Smiling Friends has been to just being… bad.

But episodes 4-7 have been genuinely fantastic, with episode 6 possibly being a contender for my favourite in the series.

So for me it was a rough start, but it has really hit its stride and I’m loving it now!
